Hi Guys, Tashi Delek. Today I am going to tell you how to make Dro Chang ( Wheat Beer). Since Losar is approaching near and we have to get ready before it is too late.
Phap is a dried yeast which is available in Tibetan market and it is used to ferment the wheat.

Ingredients of the wheat beer ( Dro Chang)
1: 5 Kg of wheat
2: 4 Liter of water
3: Phap ( Dried yeast for fermenting the Wheat)
Note: instead of Wheat you can use Rice, Barley as a substitute of wheat.

thanks for sharing the recipe and the process! guessing the same process is used for barley. when my dad was a kid in kham, his grandmother owned a bar and made chang from barley. i've wanted to try making it myself.

U can add sugar once it is fermented and ready to drink..

Yes wheat one is light in colour and less bitter than barley one
