Drukmo Gyal is a tibetan born singer that has already released 3 cds and travels around the world, doing concerts and also teaching tibetan medicine therapies. Medicine Buda Long Mantra is a traditional tibetan mantra that was sung in her brazilian concert at Belo Horizonte, with the musicians Marcus Viana, Ricardo Passos and João Viana in the 11th July 2018.

Is it better to chant the short mantra 108 times or chant the long version 21 times??

I was told I could chant 3 long, followed by 108 short. If you know the seed syllable of a mantra you can also chant 108 of those if you are short on time. Enjoy your chanting.

Tibetans mantras or chants are originaly in Sanskrit so does all Buddha's Teachings .. It just translated in many languages later . And we just sing them in a most melodic way ...inorder to remember well and easy to chant ... Although we don't usually sing it while chanting these mantras but there are pages of mantras we chant it in a little bit of melodic way ...

The Indo Tibetan Vajrayana tradition brought to Tibet by Guru Rinpoche was a Sanskrit tradition which was evolved into the Tibetan cultural matrix of the time. So the teachings and mantra are similar to the Vedic chants in Sanskrit.
