In Uttarakhand people put barbed iron collar pad to mastiffs so they can take on leopards..in my own village 2 mastiffs together fought with full grown leopard which later succumbed to fatal injuries and died in next 30-40 mins. Both the mastiffs lived around for 15-16 years.
