I respect older Lhasa Muslim for keeping tibetan language alive in Kashmir but nationality there are Indian like bhutia, gurung, mustang dolpho, Ethnicity tibetan but nationality Indian or Nepali.
@JonathanKumar-zp9fv8 ай бұрын
Sikkim bhutia, mustang, all these were Ethically Tibetan but they had their own small kingdoms after the fallen of the Tibetan empire and maintained it and still living there in there own land but lhasa Tibetan Muslim were the community. They are mixed tibetan. Mother being Tibetan Buddhist and farther Kashmiri Muslim. Later women converted to Islam. You know how the mixed kids go through. They have Advantage and disadvantage too.

@@JonathanKumar-zp9fv But during the time of Chinese aggression, these people declared themselves Indian and asked Indian gov to rescue and they did get rescued. Rest of the Muslims aligned with CCP and joined the invasion and turn into Hui muslim. And in present so called Tibetan muslim would rather choose Arabic over Tibetan script and language. Not trying to demonize them, but they were never Tibetan nor they choose to be in future and present. So it's better for them and us that we look each other as different community with all due respect to the history that we share.
@JonathanKumar-zp9fv8 ай бұрын
@@dreamadventure8220 Heard all kinds of stories about them. Even some Tibetan Buddhist also joined chinese govt. in 1950s some unknowingly and some knowingly and the servants beating their bosses. The Royal families suffered alot from their hand. The chinese government asked muslims to stay because they were the Entrepreneur of Tibet, investors in the Tibetan economy. so some stayed and some didn’t stay. All the colonizers in history do the same exact thing. Separate them by race or by religion or wealth. Chinese did the same thing too. they will prefer to live in Tibet with Tibetan if Tibet was free today. Unlike in Kashmir. They don’t get treated the same as locals. they cannot buy lands like local Kashmiri do not have certain rights. local people and govt see them as outsider and gave them separate Tibetan colony. they are proudly calling them self tibetan and spreading Tibet and Tibetan awareness by still speaking perfect Lhasa dialect, Practice Tibetan culture, sell Tibetan foods to the local. All these small things count. These Himalayan regions and tibetan Muslim are not in the same category. People from Himalayan regions will rename Tibetan culture and call it Himalayan Indian, Nepali, Bhutanese culture and always downplay Tibetan ancient histories Beside the ancestors root with Tibet and sometimes they get confused the term Mongoloid with Mongolian and call themself Mongolian origin. These Himalayan do not care weather Tibet become independent or not. They living happily in their own land.

Pocket of Kashmir Muslim were trading in Lhasa since 12 th century till 1959. They were called Lhasa Kache not "Tibetain Muslim" by then tibetans. In 1959 Tibetans had to escape even The Dalai Lama but Lhasa Muslim were escorted by the Indian government, placed in Kashmir why coz they were, are and will be Indiana.

@@Yam_ze Lhasa is the capital city of “ Tibet” and Khache is a Tibetan word for Muslims. So it’s Almost same. They speak pure Tibetan language.
@Yam_ze8 ай бұрын
Calling Tibetan Muslim or Lhasa Kache has a big difference. If someone is Tibetan on the bases of the Tibetan language then lots of Chinese, western, Indian & Himalayan region people speak way better tibetan than many Tibetans so we should call them a tibetan too. Which is stupidity..
@Yam_ze what is the big difference ? Probably the only big difference will be born outside of Tibet after 1959 ? There was no other Muslim community beside Lhasa kache till 1959. every tibetan know that so Tibetan Muslims Automatically Refer them with their history being in Tibet since the 5th dalai lamas time with mosque builded for muslim and their community involvement in Tibetan Parliament. Today there is a huge number of chinese muslim all over Tibet and crazy number in Lhasa. They are not Tibetan just chinese Muslim living in Tibet.so what’s the Confusion ?

A food for thought for my fellow Tibetans. Though "Tibetan Muslims" are fractionally Tibetan as far as ethnicity is concerned, they are exclusively Indian by citizenship not only after the Chinese invasion of Tibet, but even during independent Tibet. They had, like Nepalese residents of Tibet, extra-judicial rights whereby they were exempt from prosecution under Tibetan law. It sounds rather harmless while in exile to be sentimentally attached to a bonafide citizenry of other nations, but this may result in future political complications that we witness today around the world wherever pocket of ethnic minorities settles either through economic migration or by political migration. To be frank, I haven't witnessed Tibetan muslims actively participating in organized protest movement against Chinese occupation of Tibet any where although they do not fail to claim their strong feeling for their good life they missed in Lhasa. Well, if they wish for such a life in the future independent Tibet, isn't it reasonable at least to ask of their manifest commitment for the independence struggle too? After all, as a citizen of India, they do have full freedom of speech and protest in India if they wish to exercise it. We naive Tibetans-in-exile work hard to convince other Indians to support the cause of Tibetan independence, while completely forgetting to remind "Tibetan Muslims" who have been a beneficiary of free Tibet for their support even as they claim to long for independent Tibet.

Hello respected ones , in Kashmir they are totally not isolated, the tebetan people are in deep relationship with the local Kashmiries , if you noticed most of the students in the school are not tebetan , socially intertwined with the Kashmiries many tebetan girls married to Kashmiries, they are business partners.. etc .
