Please know i understand and support your freedom loving sentiment, however and since you commented in this Free Tibet way i trust it is good you to know few more important details regarding how my statement at the beginning of the film came about: I was allowed to make this documentary film by special permission from the Private Office of HH the Dalai Lama. And before our journey to Kinnour even started i was briefed in detail on official circumstances how this Kalachakra (in August 1992.) even became possible at all. It was clear His Holiness was permitted to visit and stay in Kinnour after 35 years of total military blockade only when China lifted the restrictions. It took some smart diplomacy to accomplish that! Tibet or not Tibet this small gesture of good will on China’s part at the time greatly benefited the people of Kinnour, and two weeks of Shri Kalachakra there would have not taken place at all if we all went there with our Free Tibet t-shirts on. As the Dalai Lama said many times fight for freedom must have a realistic wise approach in daily life not only what we hold dear in our hearts. Diplomacy is the key for peace because fight brings fight. Therefore it is give and take that will make Tibet free again, not Free Tibet in your face - specially if we are dealing with the face of one of the largest and still growing military powers world ever saw. This is the age of Kali Yuga, deterioration. The age of many adharma activities. The age of quarrel, mental speculation, hunger, thirst ,diseases and severe anxiety. One is seeing truth as false and false as truth. People are more interested in material pleasure and less interested in spiritual matters. Truthfulness, compassion, cleanliness, lifespan, memory, physical strength are diminishing day by day.
