What is the Kalachakra? Buddhism Explained with Robert A.F. Thurman : Force For Good Class Series

Professor Robert A.F. Thurman opens with a group recitation of the Buddhist Heart Sutra before leading an in depth introduction to the Kalachakra Tantra, it's mandala, meditations practice and study.
This teaching is an archive recording of the Tibet House US Class "Force For Good : Kalachakra Yogas : Sadhana + Intuition Chapters" held in New York City in 2016.
This talk was recorded during the 2016 Force For Good Class Series at Tibet House US in New York City. ‘A Force For Good’ is a Tibet House US course to further the Dalai Lama’s contemporary world initiatives, from His Holiness’ American Institute of Buddhist Studies and Mind & Life Institute science dialogues (Universe in a Single Atom) and His creation of Abhidharma 2.0 through the “Science for Monks” programs, his “secular ethics” (Ethics for the New Millennium and Beyond Religion), His nonviolent approach to conflict resolution, including His Nobel Peace Laureate activities to seek dialogue and a win-win reconciliation with China in the face of the ongoing ethnicidal policies in Tibet (Freedom in Exile and Man of Peace: The Illustrated Life Story of Tibet’s Dalai Lama) & along with his emphasis on positive activism (A New Reality: Charter of Universal Responsibility).

To uncover and heal afflictive emotions and their underlying wounds (like compulsive eating/anorexia, alcohol-drug use, debting/spending, gambling, sex addiction, codependent relationships, cluttering, childhood sexual abuse, etc.) is volatile and frightening without help. Twelve step recovery programs can aid in healing. Healing brings greater wholeness. Wholeness brings greater Consciousness. A dependence on a Loving God as you understand God.

reciting tone is creepy. please remember that every language has its own tone to reach out its meaning. when you recite english in pali/ sanskrit/ arabik tone it lose the connecction of its meaning with people. please recognise this complexity while reciting. 🙏🙏🙏 thanks for your hard work so that we can know the teacging from a far away where it is not possible to go to a temple
