So, here I am sitting in front of my computer, drinking a beer and watching this moving film. The question is: what is it that makes you happy. I am working from 8:00 to 17:00, in an office. With computers. Air conditioned, coffee and tea for free. Tashi, and his family are working the whole day, hard labour, even raising a child. And they smile, they enjoy life. Tashi is so competent and so able to manage all the duties of her life. And she is smiling... just beautiful.

Yes,she is in best rhythm with nature. Unpolluted air, plenty of sunshine no need to dissipate her energy into swimming, Gym but natural way of mountainous life,self sufficiency,simple organized chores,tending to live stock, under the bright sunshine. Natural,healthy home food nutritious. She is the boss of her own time management. Life is simple yet meaningful,healthy,stress free.

I feel like most of us, in any decent size city, we have completely lost touch with nature, gratitude, and even the meaning of what is living with a purpose. But as you said, seeing her smiling through all that she is doing, i feel so humbled. I wish Tashi and her family nothing but the very best.

I felt so calm after watching this. I think this is the real way of life. No stress,no phone calls, no meetings to attend,no boss.We find it very difficult to live life peacefully. We are always in the race of earning money, spending it on buying stuffs, homes, getting married, education etc. and having no free time to live, to meet our close relatives, to be happy,to be healthy. And then we say reality sucks. We are the one who makes our lives difficult by having too much ambitions which results in a horrific life. Thank you 😊😊

@@johnfreeborn979 Humans I think want to work and be productive, but they want to do it in their own terms, for themselves, and for their community. Being stuck in an ego-driven capitalist rat race isn't exactly what we're evolved to do. Yes in a first world nation a healthy young person can probably easily earn a living and survive in a dinky apartment. But there's no prestige, no community, no "purpose", and thus a reason to enter the rat race. And here we are, in YT comments pondering for what purpose we are working so hard.

@adnewtewabe5336

In my life, I have come across many videos and stories, but few have touched me as deeply as those of Tashi and her family. Their way of life is a beautiful testament to simplicity, happiness, and harmony with nature. Watching them, I was struck by the genuine joy and contentment that radiated from their faces. Their lifestyle is organic, free from the distractions of modern chaos, and centered around family, love, and togetherness. Tashi and her family live a life that many of us can only dream of. Their food is organic, grown and prepared with care, and their daily routines are filled with meaningful moments. They don’t waste time on trivial matters or materialistic pursuits. Instead, they prioritize family time, sharing meals, and enjoying each other’s company. Their happiness is evident in their smiles and the way they interact with one another. It’s a life free from the stress and complications that often plague modern living. Coming from Ethiopia, I am no stranger to rural life. I grew up in the countryside, where life is simpler compared to the hustle and bustle of the city. However, even in rural Ethiopia, I have not seen a lifestyle as serene and intentional as that of Tashi’s family. Their home is a perfect blend of modernity and tradition. For example, their kitchen is equipped with an oven for baking, and their house is clean and well-organized, with separate spaces for cooking, entertainment, prayer, and sleeping. What’s more, their home is free from the distractions of electronics, allowing them to focus on what truly matters: their connection to each other and to nature. They even have a beautiful bathing area, which adds to the simplicity and functionality of their lifestyle. If I were not already married wife, I would have been tempted to seek out someone like Tashi as a life partner😁. Her way of life is so inspiring that I feel compelled to visit Tibet one day, meet her family, and experience their culture firsthand. As a man from East Africa, specifically Ethiopia, I am proud of my heritage and the values we hold dear. Yet, I cannot help but admire the simplicity and intentionality of Tibetan life, as exemplified by Tashi and her family. Their lifestyle serves as a reminder that true happiness does not come from material wealth or modern conveniences but from love, connection, and living in harmony with nature. Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts. I am grateful for the opportunity to reflect on these differences and to appreciate the beauty of diverse cultures. May we all find inspiration in the simplicity and joy of lives like Tashi’s.

These are great vides but as someone that has been to these places and many other minority areas these are def the "Good" of reality You will never see a town with some random girl running around doing everything while the family is chill with smiles This is the Western logic being injected into reality. I always suggest those that want to see the real to visit Hmong communities(North West Vietnam) or even North East Thailand were you'll see the OLD style Laos/Thai people. that live this way and how life is Its a good life on some days but its a struggle to survive as many of these groups do not have the support of governments, locals, or other things Hmong people for example are born and raised all over Asia and have no nation, in Vietnam they are typially NOT allowed VIetnamese IDs even though their last 300 years of family have been in Vietnam, thus almost no health care, no voting, no employment rights, nothing. Not to drag on but yeah this is a good video, but it is so far from reality and is more of a "Hollywood" outlook if anything

Their lives look so hard, but I know they don't know any different. The young mothers in America wouldn't dream of doing any of this. They have TV's I-pads and phones to entertain even their small children while their moms sit on their phones. The Tibetan people have the most beautiful homes even the dirt floors! The children are so cute and always happy! Thank you for sharing your life with us!

What a simple life that is not for the sophisticated people living in large metropolitan cities. Imagine a Los Angeles city boy or girl to come and to live like those beautiful people doing all the work required to survive without living the village, and many will not adapt. Thank you for this video and showing to the world another happy style life in a Tibetan village.

What an immersive and eye-opening look into the daily lives of those residing in the small villages at the foot of mighty Mount Everest! This documentary truly transported me to that remote Himalayan region. The incredible 4K footage made me feel like I was right there, experiencing the peaceful rhythms and simple ways of life in these picturesque communities. Seeing locals go about their everyday tasks like herding yaks, spinning prayer wheels, and tending to farms set against the majestic Everest backdrop was breathtaking. I have such profound respect after witnessing the resilience and centuries-old traditions that allow these ethnic Tibetan villagers to thrive in such a harsh, high-altitude environment. The glimpses into their homes, family structures, cuisine and spiritual practices really highlighted their strong cultural identity. The interviews添ed such wonderful personal perspectives too. Hearing the residents' matter-of-fact attitudes about living in the shadows of the world's highest peak made their existences feel both humble and extraordinary. One of the most poignant takeaways was the importance of balancing modernity and tourism with preserving their ancient ways. As außiders, we get rare insights into a lifestyle that has remained largely unchanged for generations, despite Everest's growing popularity. Documentary experiences like this are so transporting and educational. I feel deeply privileged to have been a fly on the wall, observing the daily rituals and unwavering spirit of these resilient mountain communities. It was an eye-opening look at a world so unlike my own that I'll never forget.

Man I would love to live there. I think life there although challenging is a much better life than most have now in the cities and even farms of America. I live abroad in Thailand and understand the hardships just a little. I do realized that this is an idealized look into the family there, everything is a little to glossy and smooth. Living at 4000 meters now that is a hardship not easily challenged :) Your production skills of scripting, videography, editing and publishing these for me to live vicariously through is amazing, THANK YOU.
