I think Scruffy was still trying to keep the essence of Tick Tock Clock while incorporating instruments/core elements of DD, which I don’t think has to be limited bright and fun majors. I’d argue that the track still does have a bouncy, fun mood to it, just in a different way. The credits (and sorta the menu) have a very melancholic feel that still follows DD’s musical formula.

I love this. It also makes me want to see modern tracks demade in the style of older tracks, rather than just transpositions of the music into the older styles, in the way modern games remake older tracks in their styles, but that's not something I hold against this video since that wasn't something this was ever going to be.
