Hi Ivor, As always - great playing (excellent timing throughout), very thorough lesson, and you sang it well. People, who can sing and play well, are so fortunate to have those skills. I like to learn a variety of music, but I always gravitate back to The Beatles. They were so good as witnessed by this incredible song (just one of an almost endless array of great songs). They could do it all: sing, play, write, innovate, etc, and when they needed help, they had George Martin. With his musical expertise, he was able to translate their musical ideas into sound. After more than 50 years, The Beatles are still listened to and loved by old and new generations of fans. For me, The Beatles are my youth, and I really appreciate your time and expertise in teaching these timeless classics. Thank you

Hi, Ivor. Great lesson. If that is a Taylor Big Baby, I have the same make. I can't bend my strings as buttery smooth as you can. I can play the lick, but it's not as easy as you make it look. What gage strings do you use? I have 12 as recommended by Taylor. Thanks in advance.
@ivorsorefingers3 ай бұрын
Yes, it is a Taylor 'Big Baby'. I use 11-52 guage strings. Glad you enjoyed my lesson. Ivor

You are the best guitar teacher I've ever seen. Most of the songs I know I've learned from you via looking at my high dollar telephone. I've been trying to figure out, for months, how to contact you. There is no "comments" section on my telephone, so now I've discovered "comments" on a computer and very much hope that you receive this message. I have a request. There is another guy on You Tube by the name of "Acoustic Bruce" who does a "cover of Can't You See That She's Mine" by the Dave Clark Five. If you could figure you what that guy does, including the lead lick as well as the chords, and put it into a lesson in your usual very very descriptive & specific manner - broken down slowly to make it understandable - as you usually do. I would pay you whatever you ask. That's one song I would certainly love to imitate, and you are the only guy on the planet that could break it down & teach it right. I hope you can find "Acoustic Bruce" and see what I'm talking about. As I said I would be more than happy to send you however much money you would like, to make it worth while. If you receive this message please notify my by E-mail: cjones7822@verizon.net and Charles Jones III P.O. Box 94, 15378 Lavinia St. Milton, Delaware 19968 (USA), phone: (302)228-9274. If you respond I will be one VERY HAPPY PERSON. THANKS-A-BUNCH. (Also thanks for what you do and all I've learned from you. You put fun back in my life.)

Hi Charles. I have sent you an email in response to your comment but it has come back as not delivered. Can you confirm your email address. Ivor

The E-mail address provided (cjones7822@verizon.net) is correct, however if you write me at P.O. Box 94 15378 Lavinia Street (then next line under that being ) Milton, Delaware 19968 USA you could send me your address and I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to pay you for whatever it was worth to figure out & post the lesson for “Can’t You See That She’s Mine.” You see I used to play the guitar a little as a child and then college, work, women, family, life, etc… kind of got in the way and the guitar fell by the wayside (also my guitar went missing). Then last summer I heard that song and it really hit me - HARD (like WOW). Then in September I saw a guitar on E-bay very very similar to the one I had as a child so I bought it. When the guitar came it sounded like a wire affixed to broom handle on a tin tub, and would make your fingers bleed, however it made me feel like a little boy again just holding it in my hand - a really wonderful feeling - instantly took me back to a place where I hadn’t been for over a half century. It almost brought tears to my eyes. I tried to figure out that song but just couldn’t get that middle lick. Eventually I gave up on that song, but discovered you and began learning new songs again. Since that time I’ve added an Epiphone Casino to my collection (actually two, and would highly recommend them), as well as a Rickenbacker 325 & a Les Paul ES - and the number of songs I’ve learned has slowly increased. It finally occurred to me that you could help me learn the original song which got me started again, and I spent months trying to figure out how to contact you (as noted in my original message). Then one day on a regular computer rather than a telephone, contact was successful, and you really did figure that song out for me. WOW. It’s like Christmas morning to a child: Santa Clause has struck again. Unbelievable. I just can’t describe how much excitement and fun you have put back in my life. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. As said, I have absolutely no problem sending you cash or check, the only problem on your end would be/is it would be American money : - ) Sooooo if you can not contact me via my E-mail address just write me via snail mail - the post office. I will definitely respond. And THANKS again.

Hi Charles. Thank you for your message. I'm glad to hear that my lesson on 'Can't You See That Shes Mine' has helped you out. I did send you a second email which didn't come back as undelivered so maybe they are sitting in your 'junk' folder. Anyway don't worry about payment, my lessons are free. Nice selection of guitars you have too. Regards Ivor.
