Having been in the outdoor industry for over a dozen years, both in front of and behind a camera, I'd used many different types and brands of ground blinds, but never a see-thru TideWe. I bought 4 of these prior to the 2023 GA turkey season at a price point that caused me to be skeptical of these blinds before I even received them. I ended up being very pleasantly surprised and impressed. I left all of mine out for two months, and they held up well with no issues except for minor fading. The material is stronger and thicker than I expected, meaning it doesn't rip easily, but it's also not as easy to see thru the mesh as it is looking thru a finer screen such as you find on window screens. But it's still much better than being enclosed in a "regular" blind, which I'll never buy again. Kids also love sitting in these blinds, because they can see so much and still be able to move around. Bottom line, these are simply great blinds for the price, and this video is spot-on detailing both their pros and cons!

just got this blind today in the 2/3 person size. i love the size and the windows. the see through is going to take some getting used to. at first glance i see through it fine but once my eyes focus everything gets blurry and kinda gives me a headache. personally if they made everything like the black wall with these windows and size and sold it for $50, i would prefer it. i hunt with gun/crossbow, if i used compound or longbow i think these windows would be difficult to shoot through but i feel that is the case with any blind. Set up - first set up was kinda tough, had to get a friend to help. very fast to set up and i feel the joints will become loser over time making it easier to set up. Excited to use it during this years Deer Gun Season :) --------- 4/5 stars

They do make a bow version of this blind with triangle windows for just what your complaint is. They also have a 360 view blind with a blackout cover that goes over back door for better concealment due to shadows or figures.

How does the see through sides do at blocking the cold wind blowing through the blind.
@GeorgiaAfield18 күн бұрын
The holes are very small, so I'm sure they block some of the wind, but definitely not all of it.

How does it work when it comes to blocking the wind? That when can get a bit brisk up this way lol
@GeorgiaAfield Жыл бұрын
You're definitely going to get some wind through the three see-through panels. The holes are fine, so it probably blocks some of it, but definitely not to the extent of a regular blind.

Question ? Does the wind come thru the walls ? Not the windows but the sides ? Looks breathable material? Not good if your scent is blowing all around !
@GeorgiaAfield4 ай бұрын
Yes, the wind will come through there to some extent. But no blind is going to contain your scent. You just have to pay attention to the wind and hunt accordingly.

Hey Brother! TideWe sure is making some good stuff. I have a set of their 1200 thinsulate waders and they are excellent. I've been looking at this blind for a while too. Seems it's going to be a lot cheaper soon. Do you have a link to where I can find one of the carry bags that you mentioned?

Is there any point to trying to hunt deer from the popup blind at dusk of the day you set it up? I've heard that these blinds will spook deer until they've got used to them.
@GeorgiaAfield Жыл бұрын
I've had different deer react much differently to blinds. They are all curious about it when you first pop it up. Some will come in for a closer look, and some won't. It definitely helps to put it out in advance and let them get used to it, or if you're going to hunt it the same day, try to brush it in the best you can.

How much wind gets through the see through mesh?
@wiadv Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the info, I am new to blinds. I am taking my son with me for the first time this year and want to get something like this. I typically just sit in the elements so this is new to me. Are you able to heat it, will it hold heat? Is it pretty good with wind?
@GeorgiaAfield Жыл бұрын
Three of the four sides are mesh, so its not going to do a great job of blocking the wind, and definitely won't hold heat as well as normal non-see-through blind. I'm in Georgia, so I don't have to worry about the cold too much. But it may not be ideal for late season up north.
@wiadv Жыл бұрын
@@GeorgiaAfield Thanks for replying. I couldn't tell if it was a mesh or like a see though plastic. You're the first real answer I could find. Thanks again!

A lot of my family are hunters but I've never been taken with them when I was growing up because I have a genetic eye disorder. As a kid and much through my adult life I had to wear really thick glasses. I don't resent the fact that none of my family every took me on hunting trips because I would be a huge liability. Taking the blind kid on a hunting trip is just an all around bad idea, right? I'm now in my late 30s and had corrective eye surgery that's improved my vision a little bit but probably not enough to go hunting. Anyways, one hobby have picked up through the years is fictional writing. I love writing horror. One of those things I do before I right a horror story is do research on topic that is a part of the current story I'm working. That story I'm currently working on involves a hunter on a remote hunting trip who's only shelter is his hunting blind. I've been researching related topics about hunting and came across your video about how hunting blinds work. This was an excellent video to learn about them.

I recently purchased a 4 person hunting blind for wheelchair bound hunters. To be able to shoot out of these windows, you have to be standing up, which totally defeats the purpose, because they are too high. Second, your , you can see out but the game can't see in claim is BS!! Cloudy and rainy today and rain pours through it like water through a strainer from the roof. I was busted just laying my head over to look through the my scope on my crossbow. These blinds are not what they are advertised to be.

@ I do quite a bit of shore fishing at night and use tip lights and lights in the lines to see bites and was looking at these as a way to block the wind and have a 360 view incase I need to run from the cops as well as see bites
@jeffreysfinds7474 Жыл бұрын
Well you choose to do a review on this blind. So I'm going to do a review on that line just from your video first of all you can't stand up in it unless you're under 5 ft tall. Secondly it does seem like you would have a hard time with a bow and arrow inside that blind. Thirdly then Windows suck you might as well be sitting out in the open you have to open the complete window or 50% or 75% to shoot out of you might as well be sitting out in the open first I'm concerned this blind is $199 overpriced
@GeorgiaAfield Жыл бұрын
Jeffrey, nothing you said there is factual, other than at 6'3" tall, I can't stand up in it. That's true with most every blind on the market. They aren't made to stand up in. That's why I always have a foldup chair when I hunt out of a blind. Shooting a bow inside this blind is not an issue at all. Maybe if you were trying to shoot a longbow, but you won't have any issues with a modern compound bow. And you don't have to open the windows up 50-75% to shoot out of. The Rhino 180 is like that, but this one you can just open a small slit in the windows if you want, similar to a Double Bull. And lastly, you can get this blind for around $120. Not $199.

I just purchased the TIDEWE 3-4 man blind that is 80" tall!! It's amazing and is a foot wider (70" x 70") at the base in both directions than the 2-3 man. Coming from a Barronett blind, I can tell you that the windows are 1000% better in this TIDEWE blind. I have control over them unlike the other brand that just flop or fold open. Overall, I am very pleased with what I see from them and can't wait to place this in the woods to actually utilize the 270 degree view!! Thanks for an awesome job on your review!!
