Thanks Heather!! When I was a kid in school (1960's) I used to do something similar on notebook paper with a ball point pen during boring lectures. I started with random tiny shapes and called them "islands" and outlined them until the grew and joined up and filled the page. I didn't shade because I didn't know anything about shading then. It filled my page and it filled the long boring hours of sitting in those awful desks in school. I wish I knew more zentangle back then. I'll do this one on a tile this evening and add to my binder. Thanks!!! and HUGS

I used to do the same thing! Back then, we used grocery bags for our book covers, so we had a nice big area to draw on. I'd usually start by writing my name in block letters and go from there. And yes, it was a good way to kill time during boring classes. 🙂

@@lisagd22 Yep. I made a lot of book covers out of brown paper grocery bags. And I'd do something to them to make them unique and cheerful. We were all "tangling" naturally. HUGS
