Good morning! Rummikub is one of our most favorite games to play. 🤗 Have you tried Wazabi? It’s a quick, fun dice and card game where you have to get rid of your dice. The cards have cute cartoon sumo wrestlers on them. You can play a few rounds during dinner, and there is a tad of healthy competition. 😆 It’s lots of fun! I hope you all stay warm! It has been near zero here all week. Yuck. 😂 ❤❤❤

We have a well also and I learned fast to fill the bathtub with water to use to flush the toilet if a storm is forecasted. No hydro means no water for flushing for us.

It's always lovely to sit down to one of your videos. I'm an early riser, so I typically have all my chores done by the time It airs at 9:00 EST. We love HMart. It's been on my list for my daughter and me to visit. It has been a while since we were there; however, we might have to wait longer. We've received snow yesterday, and so ends our two-year snow drought for our part of Maryland. No complaints; there is plenty of good food, and the wood stove is going with plenty of wood outside. Today will be a day for meal prep, and later, I'll be crafting, weaving/wrapping jewelry, and then my daughter will teach me how to make 3D stars out of paper. Thanks for the interesting recipes. You might want to try to peel your ginger with the edge of a regular teaspoon. It takes off just the skin and it is faster than using a peeler. Best of luck!

We have a well too, so I usually fill a bucket for every bathroom for the toilets. I fill up two big canning pots and keep jugs for drinking and cleaning, I also fill up my laundry sink. But if you have a generator, you can run it to get water and power for fridge. I also can meals in a jar, so there is always food already to eat. Plus a gas stove is great because you can always cook when there is no power. I freeze my homemade cutlet’s of meat with the wax paper, it’s so convenient. I’ve been watching your channel for quite awhile, and I love it. I think I’m going to mention you in my bread machine group, because so many are looking for GF bread recipes.

Also for the fennel , where I come from in the south of France we would season them and braise them in the oven with a little parmesan and either drizzle some olive oil or a little veggie broth until tender , and stick them under the broiler for a minute or 2 at the end to caramelize them , it brings out the anise taste , it use to be one of my Mom's favorite veggies , I think of her every time I make them 😘

Hi, Noemi! I saw the winter weather for Oregon and wondered if you were affected! Sorry about the power outage and fallen tree! I love winter, but it can be scary!! We finally got late "Christmas" snow here, so the other morning, I put the lights on my winter tree on, drank hot chocolate, and watched a Christmas movie I had missed!!!!😂 I love the jar w/the cardinal on top!! Ginger can be peeled with a tea spoon quite easily. Just use it to scrape of the peel. Works like a charm and you can get into all the little corners.
