This is a song that speaks to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In particular, the song rekindles in us the suffering of our Lord Jesus Christ in general and particularly in Gethsemane as he was about to be crucified. Thus the "Agony in the garden" is an experience that manifests that indeed, Jesus is the Son of God with a 'Sacred Heart' ready to obey the Will of the Father for our sake.
In turn, we are all called to devote our lives to Jesus' Sacred Heart, to endure meaningful pain and agony in this life for the sake of our Salvation and for others too. May we always and sincerely repent our sins and utter the words: Lord Jesus, we Love You, Lord Jesus we obey You"!
