I took a year off of college to tour in 94-95. This brought back so many memories, especially the references to “Babylon.”

I remembered this being released and all those 'colors & pageantry' too. I still have the VHS. Thank you for the share/post again and of coarse your film here. Wanna do it again? Ha. I wonder where the kid and a couple fans recognized are these days.

32:12 this dude hit the nail on the head. First time I saw the Dead was 1987 and I was 17. People would openly sell LSD and Shrooms. I was shocked to see people walking around holding up giant mushrooms. I went home and embraced that culture and came back in 1988, it was already different and by 1989 you could feel the shift. It was a scene, and a place to transact. I am guilty of being part of that scene without realizing it at the time. I was never a real deahead, but I went to the shows and never had tickets. Sometimes I would get lucky and be able to go in, but mostly I was there for the party. By 1990 I was out of that scene. The hippy fantasy I had was fadded. I saw hard drugs taking over more and more. It was no longer Iko, Iko and it lost it's magic for me. The last shows I went to was around 1990 or 1991.

They played a lot around where I was from in Maryland. I ended up seeing Juggling Suns a lot, which were kind of like the next incarnation of them.

They stopped spinning in my day after Jerry died. At the other ones show with hornsby. I remember always seeing this guy that's been a dead head for years. He Spun the entire show. Every show. Natural high I guess I always danced but missed the spinning with the pretty skirts era... Oh well the show is still going on...

I live on the central coast of California, I remember these people always stoping in my little city to sell their arts and crafts 😊. My local bar was always happy to see them stopping in for a day or two. I remember taking the Green Tortoise from San Luis Obispo to Seattle a few times. Fun times and didn't matter if you didn't have lots of money. We all looked out for each other .
