Fun! Love to sleep in tie dyed sheets! My husband swears they’re softer after dyeing them…I think it’s due to the added salt of my tears during rinse out😭😂😭😂 sheets are heavy when wet! I’m glad you explained about the extra rinses. Anyone attempting sheets for the first time should be prepared for the extra time it takes to wrestle them, during every step of the process…and, they are COMPLETELY worth it!! Thanks for the inspiration ❤
@FunEndeavors7 күн бұрын
Thank you! 😀 Any of the larger items like sheets are definitely a labor of love. You do have to wrestle them to get them spun out, rinsed, etc... However, I agree with you that they are worth it. I think they look so pretty when they are finished.

I think sheets are not a bad first project. Yours came out fantastic! I was going to ask how the client liked the sheets, but you mentioned this was the second sheet you did for them! How fantastic she asked for another sheet, you know they loved them! I so wished you could've photographed the whole thing but grateful for the shots you took. Looks very granite-like with fabulous color splits. Thanks for inspiring yet again!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Wow. That’s gorgeous. I love the earthy colors. And, queen sized, too. I complain about doing a hoodie or sweat pants, but that is super big.

This turned out really beautiful. Thanks so much for the holes-in-the-bottom idea. I have a large tablecloth I've been trying to figure out what to do with since I don't want to muck dye it, and this is a great solution.
@FunEndeavors8 күн бұрын
Thank you! I'm glad the hole idea was helpful. I have a hoodie in the container right now. I didn't want to muck dye it and it was too large for my colanders and other containers, so I reached for this one. I hope it works out well for your tablecloth. 😀

I apologize! KZbin doesn't give me an opportunity to comment sometimes. Really cool! I started out tie dying sheets because I wanted a sheet set tie dyed. I didn't realize that difficulty grows exponentially with size. I do love my mandala design. Thanks Angie.

Nice one Angie, it kinda reminds me of a marble slab or countertop.❤👍🏻 i think when i remodel my bedroom, i might try some sheets too. Thnxx for the inspiration 🤜🏻

Thank you! 😊 It does have the look of marble or granite. I think it's the diagonal lines that add to that feel.

So cool! I think I would have to rinse it out in the bathtub since my sink is too small. What great colors and design. Would you say it was similar to a duvet cover? Thanks for showing such a big project.
@FunEndeavors7 күн бұрын
Thank you! 😀 It's kind of similar to a duvet cover since it is 2 layers. There are little spots though where it is sewn together all over the sheet. So, even though it is 2 layers, it stays together like 1 layer. Just 1 thick layer.

Hi Angie-This turned out really cool! I dabble in tie dye and ice dye myself. I have made, and given, some ice dye shirts to some friends of mine, and they loved them! I love watching your videos. Got a question for you...when you are ice dying, do you prefer to sprinkle the dye directly on the item you are dying, then put the ice on top? Or do you prefer to put the ice down on the item first, then sprinkle the dye on top of the ice? I was just curious. I have always just sprinkled the dye on the shirt, then added the ice. I think I will try it the other way with putting the ice down first, then sprinkling the dye on top of the ice and see what I get. I was just wondering which way you prefer better.
@FunEndeavors7 күн бұрын
Hi! I actually do both techniques. It just depends on the design. Adding the dye over the ice usually gives me more of a watercolor look to the dye, and I get a lot of color splits. I don't really have control though over where the dye goes. When I add the dye on before the ice, I usually get a more defined dye look and I have more control over where the dye goes.

I think they are nice. We like the ones with a bit of orange. More our colors. But let me ask you, do you just let the ice melt into ground or do you capture it? I could not tell in video. I still have my sheets, I think this is the ticket!
@FunEndeavors8 күн бұрын
Thank you! 😀 You can do either. Where I dye under the tree doesn't have much grass. Not because of ice dyeing, but it's just never been easy to get grass to grow there. I put the dye container on the top shelf and I can put a plastic container on the second shelf to catch the runoff.
