Honestly, every time I see your impressive SL, it fascinates me even more. I advise you to have that jewel forever.

Pete...I rented a set of pullers that has 4 sizes in addition to the style you showed..tie rods were not that bad using the tool, the drag links joint's I can't break free...already bent one of the 'rented' tools ...soaked it in penetrating oil and will keep working on it.....worst case is disconnect the idle arm and pitman arm and break free on the bench
@petescarport2 жыл бұрын
I ran into same issue attempting to remove my drag links. I would recommend just pulling pitman arm and idle arm. I spent 4hrs trying and took to a shop.

@@petescarport thanks for relaying what you ran into as well, I tried 4 different type of splitters rented from Advance (ruined one one of them) I think it takes alot more psi than you can exert with screw based tools, needs a shop level press

What suspension are you on? I just bought one and I cant find ANYTHING besides springs and struts.

The funny thing is it looks to be stock rear that is just no fluid and Bilstein front from what I can see. It was already on the car. I plan to to a whole new set up soon. I love how low this is but it rides very ruff

Hi Pete, Would you mind sharing the dimensions of your wheels and tires on the R129. I think they look great. And by the way WelDone, Excellent Behavior
@petescarport4 жыл бұрын
Hi. The rims and tires came with the car. They are 18" but I don't know the offset on them. I believe its a 275 width tire in rear so thinking they are 10" rear.

Normally I don’t respond to these type of comments but check 5:00. I’ve never put a vehicle in the air without jack stands. I always leave my jack as back up.
