Good video as always. I think we all agree on most things. The level of difficulty definitely needs to be addressed. AO2 had l believe 7 or 8 levels of difficulty and, in the last two, the CPU was very good. Right now CPU doesn't hit any winners and is beyond terrible at the net. I am hopeful about serving as Big Ant has said they are working on it. I think the lazy defensive returns by the players needs to go out more often or punished much more by thr CPU. I like all the shot variations. The game can become very good if they implement some of the changes asked by the community. There will be another update at the end of July and likely another one on release. I'd expect another couple at least post launch. Can't wait to have the full roster and the big three!

Great video as always! Only one suggestion from my side for devs, please reduce the price a bit, the current one is quite big for a niche game like this.

How did you get the Australian open scoreboard and eurosport logo at the top for TE4 in 7:54 ?
@robryan40805 ай бұрын
There is a serve exploit where even on expert you can get an ace nearly every time by moving further to the left or right on the service line and use the slice serve to left and flat serve to the right which will create an angle that the cpu does not even react to out wide.

Tiebreak needs more difficulties like AO TENNIS 2,every player of various abilities should be able to play on 2 or 3 lower difficulties and still have a challenge and take quite some time to be able to handle the highest difficulty like Expert.Also the slice wide serve that the CPU does not even attempt to get to is a really bad exploit.

Something good about this game and every tennis game that Bigant have been releasing since 2018 is the fact all players have their own real grunts, that's something not one Topspin game has and only the first two Virtua Tennis had (I'm not counting the PC exclusives here). Tiebreak has a lot of potential, it already looks better than both AO and TWT but the gameplay still sucks. I hope they can make it up for the ppl who's been buying all their games and release one single good tennis game that can actually compete with Topspin

The only things I agree on are CPU difficulty needing to be harder as its too easy now and serving needs improving which they are working on. Your "ridiculous rally" I didn't find to be an issue at all and looked very good. I don't agree with removing scramble and have made countless posts on all forums stating how good and natural the movement system is. The CPU difficulty is a massive issue after this update. It's way way way too easy on expert and if there is no challenge, there is no fun. Single player/career mode is in danger of becoming redundant if they don't sort the difficulty out.

The gameplay has improved, I like it. In my opinion the "scrumble" shouldn't be removed, in tennis games it is necessary to have an option to run if the game doesn't have an automatic acceleration as the player runs more meters (like Tennis Elbow) . I think the best way not to abuse LT+RT would be to penalize stamina during that point, in fact stamina currently does not influence anything, it is simply a green bar. Players should be tired if they run too much or if the rally is longer. RB combinations should be improved, it is an abuse RB+B the ball bounces excessively high and there is no risk of missing. Should be an option where we can risk a strong shot at the opponent with the possibility of missing or not.

The gameplay has improved but not enough to a point where its enjoyable to play more than 3 matchs
@machetegaming5 ай бұрын
They took a step forward in some aspects of the gameplay, but a step backward in other areas. I don't think stamina draining would fix LT+RT usage since that's a balancing nightmare. If they do that, however, I hope they: - At least make LT+RT shots non-aggressive; force them to be either a 'normal' shot or a forced defensive one. - Improve the LT+RT sprinting animations because they look really unnatural and immersion-breaking as they are.

They need to overhaul the serving to have similar serving mechanics to ao tennis 2 serving with a power timing gauge. I should have freedom with the serve, doing a underarm serve to surprise an opponent thats well behind the baseline. Nothing more thrilling than serving an ace with a powerful server like Nick Kyrios. I should have the ability to serve a similar ace count to what the top servers in the game are doing. Should be a serve shot modifier that allows for special signature serves that the top servers in the game have. I want to have the choice of doing a fast or slow serve the more power I put into my serve the more taxing it is on my energy levels. Going all power on a second serve should come with more risk than going all power on the first serve. If you're in a 5 set match and serving power serves in a fifth set have it impact on the energy levels of your player. I want to have the choice of serving a 180km serve in the corner out wide or down the t with a bomb at 230ks plus I want to take the risk and serve a bomb on a second serve this would make this game worth a purchase if they implement all this and I want hawk eye just like it was in ao open 2. For second serve if you take the risk of doing a maxed out power serve just shorten the timing response on the power gauge to increase the risk of a double fault. Not having the ability to score an ace is an epic failure serving is a big part of the game of tennis. I want to know what speed I'm doing for every serve and not be forced to look at the speed clock in the stadium, not every stadium has a speed clock so I wont know what speed my serve has done. Big Ant hope you're reading this comment bring back the thrill of serving an ace whats the point of using a player with an incredible of serve if it cant be a weapon in the game. Make it harder to return a fast serve by having a timing gauge on the returning shot and depends on the returning ability and energy levels of the opponent to the success of the return. I want to do an ace with nick kyrios one of the best servers in the game give me that ability. Have the speed of serve beside the power/energy timing gauge or beside the names of the players and scorecard at the bottom of screen. Come on big Ant u have potential with this game just upgrade the serving and return of serve. Should have a skill to the serving where you enter into two different timing gauges for power and spin. Also on a final note a nice touch to serving would be giving me the choice to bounce the ball before serving gives a sense of realism to the game. Bouncing the ball helps with the ball toss another component of serving that should be addressed ball toss should have a timing gauge for this. If you time the ball toss and power gauge perfectly with a powerful server should be rewarded with an ace against an opponent that has poor awareness or defensive skills or a good player with low stamina levels that's positioned in the wrong part of the court. Will be closely monitoring the early access of this game to see if any of this has been implemented. My last purchase was ao tennis 2 please make this game my next tennis game I purchase since watching wimbledon I have the desire to play a new tennis game.

Just been playing AO Tennis 2 and though not perfect the AI is far superior to Tiebreak and that is on World Class which i have great matches and then there is still Legend and Grand Slam after that,even on normal average difficulty th AI does not make those dumb mistakes at the net.This is very concerning as i only play offline so unless there are big changes in AI and more dynamic serving i will be sticking to AO2 as i don't like the slow boring rallies of Topspin games either.

Scramble should stay. Implement a noticeable energy reduction if it is used constantly. It is not necessary to spam them to replicate realistic movement. You need to take into account that the shoulder buttons work nicely to setup early for your shots with additional accuracy and depth. They are also important for run-around forehands (or backhands) which work beautifully to setup winners. The online video looked good to me and much like a real life excellent point on the ATP tour. Not sure why you take issue with it. The short cross court winners ARE the most effective way to hit winners in Tiebreak. This is true in real life, but hitting them within inches of the line repeatedly is excessively hard/unrealistic. Though, with the new update I have been hitting more of these shots onto the net. Keep up the good work with the videos. Excited to see how the game gets polished up.

How does limited scramble energy solve the problem that it's impossible to reach balls at medium and higher difficulty without using scramble?

Thanks for the kind words and your comment! It seems we disagree on scramble. I will copy my comment to another person regarding the scramble & stamina penalty: "I don't think stamina draining would fix LT+RT usage since that's a balancing nightmare. If they do that, however, I hope they: - At least make LT+RT shots non-aggressive; force them to be either a 'normal' shot or a forced defensive one. - Improve the LT+RT sprinting animations because they look really unnatural and immersion-breaking as they are." Re. online play and the exchange in the video: If that was one exceptional point in the match with such an exchange, I would be fine with that. The problem is our entire match looked more or less like this - constant spam of diagonal aggressive topspins from both players. It became tedious really quickly. Re. short cross-court winners: Just a tip, try using such shots with lower power when you are likely to hit the ball at a low point. The ball will go through the net more often this way.

@@machetegaming additional reason to keep individual shoulder buttons is it allows the player to backpedal (parallel to the baseline) while in a shot-setup stance. When used correctly realistic flow/ player movement is acievable. I believe there is two reasons people dislike the movement. 1) the movement input is quite a bit different from what we became familiar with in topspin games. 2) most players are likely not very good at tennis in real life and have a difficult time understanding people movement and court position.

Im happy u mentioned removing the scramble mechanic. Its awful. It is unrealistic and allows users to run in circles and makes gsmeplay look bad. The single LT/RT prep shots need to be sped up and are good to use bc it looks more realistic and ur player actually foot plants when changing direction. Appreciate your feedback bc its accurate fam! 🫡. Keep cooking!
