Net 'n vraag.....waar in die Bybel verklaar dit dat die Nuwe Verbonds gelowige monitere tiendes moet betaal aan 'n kerk? Boek, hoofstuk en verse asseblief?

Tiendes was gegee sien ons in die boek Genesis 14 voordat dat daar nog sprake van ń Ou Verbond was. Tiendes was ook in die Ou Verbond ingestel as ń vereiste onder die wet. Tiendes in die Nuwe Testament word duidelik uitgelê in die Boek Hebreërs in hoofstuk 7. Die gelowiges in die Nuwe Testamentiese tyd betaal tiendes aan Jesus Christus hul Hoëpriester volgends die orde van Melgisédek.

Mal.3:10 Verses 7-12 The men of that generation turned away from God, they had not kept his ordinances. God gives them a gracious call. But they said, Wherein shall we return? It is great grace and favour from God, if we are made useful to others, and forward to any good work. He commends the charity of the Macedonians. So far from needing that Paul should urge them, they prayed him to receive the gift. Whatever we use or lay out for God, it is only giving him what is his own. All we give for charitable uses, will not be accepted of God, nor turn to our advantage, unless we first give ourselves to the Lord. By ascribing all really good works to the grace of God, we not only give the glory to him whose due it is, but also show men where their strength is. Abundant spiritual joy enlarges men's hearts in the work and labour of love. How different this from the conduct of those who will not join in any good work, unless urged into it!

Heb.7:1-3 Melchizedec met Abraham when returning from the rescue of Lot. His name, "King of Righteousness," doubtless suitable to his character, marked him as a type of the Messiah and his kingdom. The name of his city signified "Peace;" and as king of peace he typified Christ, the Prince of Peace, the great Reconciler of God and man. Nothing is recorded as to the beginning or end of his life; thus he typically resembled the Son of God, whose existence is from everlasting to everlasting, who had no one that was before him, and will have no one come after him, in his priesthood. Every part of Scripture honours the great King of Righteousness and Peace, our glorious High Priest and Saviour; and the more we examine it, the more we shall be convinced, that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Pastoor ek het die "swetende" aalmoes verskriklik geniet, maar ons stadsbewoners loop tot 6 bedelaars by die verkeersligte raak, ons kan tog nie vir almal gee nie! Dan voel ek so jammer vir die mensies en selfs skuldig omdat ek nie gee nie
