i had a casual look on amazon right after you said fishing tackle box, before you even opened it! on the very first row was a cheap durable and most importantly cantilever one for £20. Bought it immediately and came back to watch the rest of the video. Already super happy with my purchase. Subbing as a thank you :) (and I love your vids)

I use a metal pegboard from Lowe’s to keep both my paints and tools next to my work area. This may not work great for everyone but for me it was mainly a fun project to do with my fdm printer, making things like a drying tray for minis and paint holders for both army painter and citadel bottles.

Nice toolkit! There's one tool and one material I use all the time that isn't in your box: needlenose pliers and paperclips. Paperclips are my default pinning material. The pliers are used to cut the clips to length and push them safely into the holes I drilled in the mini. It also roughs them up a bit for better adhesion.
@YourAverageBearGaming4 жыл бұрын
I saw tweezers in the kit, so sort of like pliers. I use a ceramic tipped set because I use them to place magnets (how do they work?).

A portable box also is super helpful if you don’t have a dedicated workshop area and need to clear off the kitchen table each day; but use separate boxes for separate hobbies - seam ripper goes in the sewing kit, Phillips head driver tips go in the toolbox with all the other drill bits, drivers, and extra chuck keys

I have had one of the 4 drawer tackleboxes with the big compartment on top for my minis stuff for years! Funny enough it also has stickers on it (they are fantasy rpg based stickers that came with some magazine years ago). I also have that same GW pin vise! I have another one that I bought many, many years ago, but it didn't have the little swivel handle that fits into your palm. It was a bare metal end with a drill collet (it had different sized collets on each end) and it would dig into your palm relentlessly. I remember I started putting a wad of paper towels or cloth into my palm to use it. The GW one upgrade was a necessity when I saw it hanging on the shelf at a local game store!

The best blades (which I see you have yet to have) are the tiny Olfa Art Knife blades KB9161 - these are half the size of X-Acto blades which makes for a tool that is easier to wield and get into tight places. Also, the backside of the blade is perfect for scraping/deburring. Edit: it looks like you have something similar in the video, however, the blade is sticking out far too much. This’ll make it unwieldy. The proper blade holder will have just the cutting portion sticking out, for better control. You need moar blades!!!
