Hey! So Bristol these days is actually it's own county, BUT if you were going to include it in one of these, it would be Gloucestershire rather than Somerset- Bristol was historically in Gloucestershire (and is still in the *historic* county of Gloucestershire). Only the parts of Bristol south of the river Avon would be considered Somerset- Bedminster etc, which was originally a separate town. These days Bristolians tend to consider themselves they're own thing, but a ton of Bristol suburbs are also officially still in South Gloucestershire and aren't incorporated into the city council. So if you count Bristol in Glos rather than Somerset, does that change your rankings at all? I think people are just more familiar with Somerset than Gloucestershire in the public consciousness so tend to put Bristol in with Somerset because of that, but Bristol is weirdly both it's own separate county, as well as in Gloucestershire, as well as partly in Somerset, cause of the different ways counties have been defined lol. Also as well as most of the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire also contains the Forest of Dean :)

Brighton & Hove isn't in either of the sussex's. Its run by its own administrative council. Sussex as a whole is a historical country, but it is split in 2 and run by different councils, and Brighton falls outside of that.

Buckinghamshire is so much more than MK 😂 In fact we don’t really consider that to be “proper” Bucks - it’s nothing like the rest of the county. South Bucks and the Chiltern Hills is beautiful.

Haha yes! I mentioned later in the video that when my mum was born in Dudley it was part of Worcestershire as she was born before the 1974 county changes :) Wolverhampton was in Staffordshire!

Worthing is arguably the worst part of West Sussex. Definitely not a lively county but the scenery is some of the best around

Gotta say putting Essex a d is very harsh, lived here my whole life but travelled round most of the country, the stereotypes made of us by the media are completely false and dont represent 75% of essex at all. Also we have a coastline, we have great access to London and other countys but enough going on in our citys and towns that you dont have to commute to london for work, i know hardly anyone actually that does, and generally it is quite a nice rural county with friendly people on the most part, we can party hard too and you can have a good night out here, true i wouldnt put us S tier along some of the nicer places in the country but i would say a A tier or at very least a high B. Alot of history to be seen and alot of nice rural spots out of the way. Some beautiful smaller towns and villages too. Infact i would say generally Essex is much more chill than london. Not as much hustle and bustle, less rude people and not just a concrete jungle.

Merseyside might not have a wealth of rugged natural scenery -- there aren't many hills or mountains -- but there are beaches! On the Liverpool-side of the Mersey are Crosby and Formby beaches, with the former perhaps best known as the home to the Anthony Gormley (best known for the Angel of the North) 'Another Place' installation of cast iron statues. On the other side of the Mersey, on the Wirral, there are also lots of great beaches, like Thurstaston and West Kirby.
