When i was grabbing images I missed Pet Sematary and Sleepy Hollow! Pet Sematary would have gone in close friend and Sleepy Hollow probably in acquaintance. Ugh I also forgot Mothers Instinct! Geez! That one would have gone in stranger.

Loved that I found your channel! Found it through the AHS Delicate tv show series, you were one of the first to pop up when I was trying to find channels reviewing the show and have been subbed ever since!

That's a lot of reading for one year! - Can we look forward to your verdict of King's 'The Stand' (both TV series) next year?
@WhytheBookWins18 сағат бұрын
Yeah I'm currently about halfway through the book! My main video will be for the 90s series and then I'll probably have a follow up video for the newer adaptation 😁

@@WhytheBookWins ..... Great. I recently re-watched the 90s version - I had forgotten that it’s as camp as a row of tents.

Delicate condition! This week I was searching through your channel for reviews on Bridget Jones Diary, intersting that you read them this year- maybe that means a future video?? 😃 I watched Me Before You yesterday and it made me want to read the books. Didn't realize they were a series

Both Bridget Jones videos will be up the end of December! I'll be releasing them back to back 😁 And I've heard about Me Before You but have never seen it, it was good?
@taniasitalinda14 сағат бұрын
@WhytheBookWins Nice! There's also the 4th Bridget Jones movie coming out in a few months. I'll watch even though the first movie was the best. I enjoyed Me Before You, they made it more rom-com than so serious considering what is about. But I'm OK with it.

For next year: If you like family historical dramas, I highly recommend something by James Michener's. "Hawaii" is a book and 1966 film starring Julie Andrews, that is pretty good. For a quicker read, there's "Tales of the South Pacific" which became the classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical "South Pacific." His books are a forgotten treasure, and the connected films are pretty good too.

Thanks for the request! I've seen South Pacific but it has been a really long time.

hi Laura! Started watching your videos this year and it's definitely been a highlight! I recently read "The Go-Between" by L.P. Hartley and then watched the 1971 movie with Julie Christie. Both are excellent! Highly recommend to add to your 2025 list :)

Thanks for the review! John Irving is great. My favorite is A Widow for One Year. There was a movie that was based on a subplot in the book called The Door in the Floor, which was good. This book is a multi-generational family story. I've never read anything by Truman Capote other than In Cold Blood, which was and is a masterpiece. Although a few good movies have been made, it's not possible to top the book. I should read Breakfast at Tiffany's as it was written before Capote's peak. I'm still waiting on that book vs. movie for Christine as I loved both and I am a fan of John Carpenter and Stephen King. Ordinary People is a fantastic drama, the type of movie they don't make anymore. The 2009 film The Time Traveler's Wife was well done, never read the book. You know my thoughts on Thomas Harris. I'll have to check out some of the others--That's a lot of books for one year!

You keep coming up with cool tier ranking themes. My first video from your channel was Nightmare Alley. I guess you didn't do in 2024.

Yeah that was an early video of mine from back when the movie came out!
