Not me only realising there's a presentation mode after I finished filming... 😬 This is an unscripted video so there are quite a few things I forgot to say or just didn't think of at the time (WHY didn't I mention absolutely beaning a small child in the head with snowball after snowball in White Wolf of Icicle Creek? objectively the best part of that game). I wanted to like Midnight in Salem SO bad; I LOVED Deirdre, but I hated the interface so much I couldn't get past ten minutes of play. It was the only ND game I ever returned. My favorite is Crystal Skull, for the fact that despite the gloominess and everything that is going on in poor Henry's life, it's such a JOYOUS game. Nancy spends the entire game surrounded by all the things that Bruno Bolet loved in life, and though he's dead, you really get a strong sense of the character from playing the game. (I also have the personal headcanon that Bruno Bolet was gay; I mean he never married or had any children that we know of, he was part of a secret society of dudes that basically existed to throw killer parties, and the one female friend we read him having written about was a friend he had chocolate cake for breakfast out on the town with. As a queer person, that resonates a lot with me; though maybe I'm just projecting lol). I would have loved to meet Bruno Bolet IRL.

Sea of Darkness is the greatest ND game in my opinion. I highly recommend checking it out. Then again, my own tier list of ND games differs wildly from your own, so perhaps Sea of Darkness won't be quite as awesome for you as it was for me. good job on the list.

I've heard good things about it, planning to play it soon!! That's one of the things I love about the Nancy games: there's something for everything and we all enjoy different aspects of them!

LITERALLY!! crystal skull is in my top 3 but white wolf is just UGH literally so much happens that distracts you and takes you away from finishing the mystery. its a no from me

I WHOLE-HEARTEDLY AGREE WITH YOUR TAKE ON BLACKMOOR MANOR, THANK YOU! The atmosphere is cool, but I hated the amount of puzzles and the glow sticks and the aghalfjalsjfa oei T_T Same with White Wolf. The amount of times I had to clean up after and cook for the guests drove me crazy; it barely felt like a mystery game to me as far as I had played. I had to stop playing, due to laptop issues. It's all fixed, and now I can play anytime, but I would have to start over, and the idea of doing that makes my heart hurt too much to play right now, despite it being the perfect time for the game's cozy atmosphere.

Sea, Curse, and Tomb are some of my favourites the music in all them is great.

since I made this video I've played Sea and Tomb and enjoyed them, especially Sea! I liked the puzzles in Tomb but wish there were more areas to explore!

the music is really good!! very different from the other Nancy Drew games, but great in it's own way. it is such a pain that it's so hard to run for a lot of people!!

I love seeing all the classics along with Thorton Hall at the top! 🕵🏼‍♀️ Good list! Agree with you on Blackmoor that one feels a bit overrated. Underrated wise, I do love Scarlet Hand and Crystal Skull and have those in my top 10. And definitely props to the first game Secrets Can Kill (remaster). The music alone makes me want to put it on and all the creepy moments of suspense. How did you rank SOD, Tomb and Captive Curse? Would you consider doing a countdown list from worst to best ? Has any of your opinions changed? I notice that can happen on replays once you conquer the puzzles and are able to enjoy everything else about the game.

Thank you! I have come around to Crystal Skull since making this list. I definitely want to remake this video at some point (but I'll probably let some more time pass first) and I want to make a more in-depth ranking at some point too!!

Love these games. My Grandmother played them constantly and had up to "The Deadly Device" and she got me into them. After watching this I think I might start back the collection. Brought back good memories.

Okay your headcanon for Midnight in Salem might actually redeem it a few points with me lol Everyone always talks about how bad the graphics and the characters and the story are in that game, meanwhile the game controls so badly on my computer that I actually get too motion sick to even give it a chance, so I have to just take people’s word for it :/

I just don't like the puzzles in Castle Malloy and prefer the other spookier games! I understand why you might prefer Castle Malloy to Secrets though! I'm talking about the remastered version, I haven't had the opportunity to play the original, though I'd like to!

I always love watching these rankings. Because not one person has the same opinion. It shows the diversity of this series and how there is something in it for everyone. I for example loved The Deadly device SO MUCH. Along with Tomb of the Lost Queen. I love puzzle heavy games. One that get me to think. I agree with most of the games you put on top....besides The Haunted Carousel...that game can go jump off a cliff. The only ND game I genuinely hated. And this comes from someone who loves amusement parks to death.

Hearing other people’s thoughts on these games is always super fun especially since there’s so many. I wish Her Interactive would make a game where Nancy went to Nepal or India or China... somewhere over there. I never get to travel and experiencing it through Nancy is always fun. After playing the first 23 games my top 10: 10. Last Train 9. Final Scene 8. Ghost Dogs 7. Phantom of Venice 6. Danger by Design 5. Blackmoor 4. Crystal Skull 3. Royal Tower 2. Shadow Ranch 1. Deception Island Castle Malloy and White Wolf I would rank as honorable mentions. And I agree with you I actually enjoyed Kapu Cave and would replay! 😀

I did! I probably would put them all in the "good" category but I really did enjoy them all, particularly Captive Curse and Sea of Darkness (altho there are a few too many puzzles for my tastes in that one haha)

@@snughly loved Captive Curse (definitely in my top 10 now). Awesome music and atmosphere, fun and not too difficult. Haven’t played Sea yet. Tomb is bland overall. I got 2/3 of the way through and got stuck and haven’t returned lol
