The pistol shrimp, or snapping shrimp, is pretty awesome, in my opinion. Being able to flash fry your enemies with a bubble almost as hot as the surface of the sun is a cool ability. Imagine rolling up on a dude, clapping so loud that anyone near you goes deaf, and the guy in front of you is laying on the ground, steaming.

Fyi that cladogram at the start is a mess. Hexapods(insects included) should be nested within Crustacea, not outside of it. That's right, insects are crustaceans(this video seems to only focus on the Multicrustaceans though, while insects are part of Allotriocarida) Myriapods(centipedes and millipedes) are sister to Crustacea(or Pan-Crustacea) including insects, forming the Mandibulate group. Chelicerates include arachnids, sea scorpions, horseshoe crabs and maybe sea spiders but not trilobites. Those guys' place in the arthropod family tree is a bit of a mystery. We know they're closely related to Mandibulates and Chelicerates, but which 2 groups are more closely related is afaik still subject to debate. Velvet worms and tardigrades aren't arthropods. They are closely related, all 3 groups forming Pan-Arthropoda, but they still aren't arthropods. Annelids are....also not arthropods. They're not even Ecdysozoans(a grouping of animals that grow by shedding some kind of cuticle), which includes Pan-Arthropods but also roundworms, but not segmented annelid worms. Hell, annelids like your local earthworms are more closely related to calamari than they are to arthropods. An addition to the original comment, since insects are crustaceans, then technically crustaceans DID evolve venom and eusociality. And if for some reason you exclude insects from the crustacean family(while including animals more closely related to insects than other crustaceans), then Remipedes iirc evolved venom, and there's a few species of snapping shrimp that are eusocial and live inside sea sponges

My favorite crustacean are isopods, I love the deep sea isopod so much. But mantis shrimp is my second favorite. Also tier zoo said that crustaceans didn’t unlock eusociality but snapping shrimps did.

@@dankmouse632 On the chart only CHELICERATA (Sea horseshoes, Pantopods, Arachnids). MYRIAPODA (Millipedes, Centipedes), CRUSTACEA (Crab, Lobster, Shrimp, Krill etc, etc. HEXAPODA (Springtails, Coneheads, Two-pronged bristletails, insects) are Arthropods. Although Crustacea and Hexapoda technically can't really be separated, as Remipedia (Remipedes). Branchiopoda (Fairy shrimp, Triopsids, Water fleas, Clam shrimp). Cephalocarida (Horseshoe shrimp) that are all deemed Crustaceans, are in fact more Related to Hexapoda (includes Insects), than they are to Crabs, Lobsters, Shrimps, Krill etc, etc that are deemed to be Crustaceans. A more correct grouping would be Pancrustacea that puts them all together.

Neither are Onychophora (Velvet limb-worms), but Tardigrada (Tardigrades) and Onychophora (Velvet limb-worms) are in the unranked Clade of Panarthropoda as linking them with Arthropods by sharing a common ancestor.
