Nah, whales aren't exactly the smartest in the sea. The whale is doubtless a very tanky build, and Pearl is no exception. However, she can't fit into tight spaces to hunt plankton and to be fair, she's just a teenager. Teenagers are notorious for being ditzy and overemotional, and that - combined with her low mobility speed and below-average intelligence - is not good for a whale main. Besides, she's in the same boat as the deep-sea squirrel build. Whales need to periodically surface for air.
