Loved this little snippet into your work life. I agree with you about people not budging when it comes to walking in public. Studies have shown its men who do this to women (both racism and sexism plays into this), where they have a sense of entitlement towards the space/roads/ walkways.

@escah91503 жыл бұрын
Part of the reason I rarely go in stores. I hate having to be so close to people and so many people have no etiquette or manners to move their carts when they see you trying to pass although I loudly say excuse me to ensure they hear me because they pretend like they can't see when someone is attempting to get by it's still annoying having to do that.

I really resonate with what you said about annoying people who don't move to the side when they approach you on the street. I live in London and this happens A LOT - I'm often the only person in this situation that makes the effort to move 😑. I find it really irritating because often it's just me walking and then a couple walking side-by-side will come towards me and they like expect me to step aside when they are taking up 2/3 of the pavement/sidewalk. It's the most annoying thing and people who do this are just inconsiderate AF

Agree about the people walking and they don't move. One can assume that some people are just not as fast-thinkers as others. Some may be like lost in their thoughts, so they might or might not see you, and then the next thing, you know, they're right there in front of you. As far as following too close behind me, I don't like that either. Sometimes, I may start to yawn/ stretch and, if they're too close, while I stretch, then my arm might brush against them. I may make a joke like "Oh, we're so close. Sorry, didn't mean to bump into you."

I have been working everyday ( hybrid) in a School. We did go back remote for holidays until Jan. I recently tested Covid positive and near end of quarantine. School is risky as its hard to social distance plus touching bathroom doors and knobs etc. That is shared by male/ female. I prefer remote work abit to limit the risks.

Omg that’s a double scoop gelato! I’m in NYC and I end up moving since I’m small and afraid to get rammed in the shoulders. How much does it cost per day or monthly? I use to go to random cafeterías because like you said makes you feel more productive and also break the day but you need a budget because you have to buy food and drinks in order to stay hours there. We also have these co working spaces but they are expensive for random people also there is this fear of get your stuff stolen at the street and it’s not easy to buy a new computer 💻 again In Buenos Aires it’s the same about people not moving and It wouldn’t be safe to blog at the streets with a camera 📷 like that. I don’t know how does work it paris I think in every huge city you always have to be careful at certains areas but still I think Paris is safer than here

The lack of pedestrian manners is definitely big city behavior. In D.C, Manhattan, Seoul, Miami, and San Fran like globally it's an issue I've encountered. While in Tokyo I expected better, because there are street signs illustrating how to be alert and courteous while walking and riding bikes on the sidewalks. Unfortunately, not everyone reads those signs and just forget about personal space entirely 😄.
