Heather has had this podcast for years but she has not always paid her guests. Payment happened more recently and there is nothing wrong with that. You would know this is you were a fan. You would also know that she and Chris go back years, way before Juicy Scoop was even a thing. Their effortless and natural conversation is a result of their history and it shows. I have paid family and friends to do work for me. Does it change our relationship? NO. If anything it makes it better because we are all winning. I agree with Chris about Matt Rife. There are a lot of female comedy lovers… and Matt’s “looks” aren’t relevant. People are responding negatively because his comedy special, and the joke in question, isn’t good or funny. And women aren’t mad that he made the joke, they are responding to his tone and cadence which is snarky and rude and rings a little too authentic. Nobody is canceling him, he isn’t a cancel culture victim like he’s pretending to be. People are allowed to say the joke sucks as much he is allowed to tell the joke.
