There must be a lot of messed up people out there. 1) First date is ALWAYS casual dining. Painting class? When is this first date, kindergarten? 2) Second date is dinner and a show. Live theatre is best, with an intermission. No heavy drama, though. You don't want "The Glass Menagerie", you want "Spamalot". 3) Third date, you seal the deal. Fine dining, bottle of nice wine. High end Italian restaurant is ideal for this. If she hasn't come around by then, guys, move on. Once I dated a woman my sister set me up with. That was my first mistake. I took her to the beach, I took her to the movies, I took her out to dinner at a favorite pub where a great band was playing; we drank, we danced, we laughed. As we left, I went to put my arm around her waist. She planted her palm firmly in the center of my chest and pushed me away. Well, that was that. I had played all my best cards. She had a horrible voice, anyway.:)
