This song is actually a cover version of a 1960s hit by Tommy James and the Shondells. I agree with you, though... 80s and 90s music is definitely superior to the modern stuff.

@@bobhebel4116 I don't know why, the song from the 1960's just dose not have the same feel to me. Then again I was born in 84 and grew up hearing Tiffany sing it.. Tho the 60's one is still good... I know I do not like the one from like 2006 by Girls Aloud .... LOL

Still one of my favourite 80's songs. Still got the album Tiffany on vinyl too. She was so cool. What a great time the 80's was to be young. I do worry sometimes for the kids of the future. Amazing you can remember obscure songs from when you were a kid, and remember when you heard it. Todays female singers cannot put female energy into there songs, 1980s females still had that ability, slowly in 1990s is slipped away 1980s was best decade for female singers by far, when females had female energy, and they were able to sing with it

I was 13 when this song came out and remember it competing with Billy Idol's civet of Mony Mony in the Top 40 charts. I had never heard of Tommy James and the Shondells to that point but figured they had to be one of the coolest groups ever lol

I think every generation thinks that though. I was 6 when this was out, and I would say the same of the bands I followed in my tweens in the 90's.
