Debussy c'est vraiment le romantisme à la française : mélancolique, sobre et tourmenté !
@delko0005 жыл бұрын
Je ne vois pas le tourment personnellement. "Pagodes" pour moi c'est surtout de la contemplation.
@MarcusVinicius1164 жыл бұрын
@andresgunther5 жыл бұрын
Debussy's piano works are among the most difficult ones to get right, technically and tonal - wise, and Tiffany is one of the few contemporary pianists who is able to play Debussy with the right voicing and touch. Especially the Pagodes and the Evening in Granada are outright mesmerizing.

4:28 You execute these emblematic Debussy phrases so perfectly that I can imagine and even touch the rippling surface of the lake shrouded in the nightly stillness.
@francoaragosta42856 жыл бұрын
"Pagodes" ("Pagodas") - approx. 4-5 minutes. "La soirée dans Grenade" ("Evening in Granada") - approx. 5 1⁄2 minutes. "Jardins sous la pluie" ("Gardens in the Rain") - approx. 3 1⁄2 minutes.[1]

Playing Debussy with patience and not rushing the piece already shows this is very much worth listening to. You can't push his phrasing forward, and the player in the video didn't do that. Thanks for that, this is something we can all enjoy.

Hey Tiffany, first of all, i really like your playing, everytime again i think you have really well worked out interpretations that matches the ideas and intentions of the composer. Because of this, i can't understand why you didnt make it to the second round in Chopin competition. Sorry for this rude question, but since i can't find an answer myself, do you have an idea why the judges didnt let you pass to the next round? What did you had to improve, did they tell you anything, did you get feedback, anything? Anyway, i love your playing, greetings from Netherlands :)
