Hey Tiffany, I really like watching your yarn corners, but I would love if you could do sections in the time bar, so we can see what comes where :) sometimes you really inspire me to start a project or get a certain yarn, and if I want to revisit the section in the video it is very hard to find 😊
@typicalbliss2 жыл бұрын
ohhhhh that's such a good idea, I'll try doing them for the future ones!!

For baby knits you would want to stick to yarn that doesn’t have floofy bits that they can breath into their lungs (for example like mohair, I probably wouldn’t use alpaca because of the floofy either. ) It can be dangerous for them to breath it in. You would want to stick to smoother yarns.

I saw someone once made a baby blanket for a friends baby, and then a matching pair of socks for mom! I've always thought that was a super sweet idea. So if you have any extra yarn that could be a cute thing to add to your gift!

You should knit in a very slightly off-black instead for other projects! Include some dark grays or bright contrasts and they will match just as well! I love black but I understand the pain of not being able to see your stitches :/ I have to use a size 2.5mm crochet hook for my size 10 thread that has a REALLY dark navy blue and makes its impossible to see the stitches with such a small yarn, but i can make cute little drapes or something still with it

The musselburgh hat is top down for obvious reasons but after knitting a few of those, I messed around with my own top down hat projects and actually really like it. You can try it on as you go for length and fit, even though it’s not absolutely necessary. 😁

The hat is so cute! For you, consider a “taller top” your head is round and some height would balance it out. And you would prefer that look on you.😍 Please people understand, I have an eye.

For baby knits, additionally to what someone else said, you also want to choose something that allows them to regulate their temperature easily, so they don’t accidentally get too hot. I generally stick to pure cotton or pure merino ❤️

I freestyled a top down ribbed beanie last year using Judy's magic cast on and I can't ever see myself going back to bottom up. (Also frestyled a tote bag using Judy's magic cast on, it was a fun time.) I have been eyeing the April or Champaigne cardigan but using cotton so I can wear it in every season, definitely not a seasonal knitter. I love to be able to wear all my knits year round.
