When Becky went down to NXT she brought in record viewership and when she was champion defending on raw, NXT, and PLE she brought even more eyes to NXT. That’s what they wanted, and it worked. And Tiffany came out of the match a star, she most likely wouldn’t be standing here Ms Money in the Bank if it weren’t for the Becky rub.

Thank God Lyra Valkyria took it off of her when she did. If u ask me, it was low-key a slap in the face for the women who were already in line for a title opportunity.

I don’t think the Becky feud hurt her at all. I love Tiff but I did think her reign was already struggling as she had no logical feuds or people who could match her trajectory. The match with Becks just proved she was ready to be called up.

It is easier to say this when she's just about to win MITB (as was the case here). Had she have stayed in NXT and formed a tag team with Fallon (as many suspected) and still there now in a lower mid card faction with Fallon/Jacy and Jazmyn, then it would likely have been a different story. The feud was good, more eyes on her, great matches etc. but her follow up 4 months booking was absolutely dire. Thankfully she's back on track now and in hindsight we can look on the feud as a positive, but when she's losing mid card feuds, losing 6 of her final 7 NXT matches, restricted to 7 second backstage segments with Briggs, and missing shows completely, the topic / discussion was at least somewhat valid at the time.

@gregoryfuller9736 nope. Look it up on profight or cagematch, her last interaction with Becky was No Mercy on September 30th. Those house show matches were in September. She was wasting time throughout October, November, December, January, with no guarantee of being called up which is what p1ssed her fans off and was where the 'buried' talk originated from. 4 months is a long time to be lower mid card, and it could have easily been longer if they then put her in a tag team with Fallon.

Becky did not bury her but I don't think she should've won the NXT title.. Tiffany deserved a longer reign but she definitely was elevated to new heights because of her match with Becky🙂 I could see them feuding in the future and at that point, hopefully Tiffany comes out on top🎉
