Mami, I live in the States. The Saris you wear, I know as daily use saris, I am unable to find them online. Searching for synthetic saris has not been successful so far, the material is neither sho soft Can you tell me the name of the material so I can search and order? Thanks.

Hi Aunty I am Late T.K.Narayana Iyer's of Padma Vilas grand daughter from my mum side. Mum is from Karungulam and Dad from Kallidaikurichi (both no more). Possible you may know them as in those days communities were close knit. Love watching your recipes. I Keep trying them as I know my mum made some of them. You make us nostalgic as it gets me recall my mum. Thank you!

I was told by my mother not to use “Perungayam” when I use onions which I have religiously followed for the past 25 years. I noticed that you used perungayam for seasoning for the sambar where you have added onions. My mother’s cooking is traditional Tanjore.

I was a fan of Annapoorna sambar but now I’m a grt fan of ur sambar. Took some extra time to prepare but was worth it loved the sambar such grt taste. I couldn’t believe I made it. Yummy no more Annapoorna....

I made this tiffin - hotel sambar as explained. I garnished with fresh chopped coriander. It has come come out so well that I was wondering weather the sambar is for idlis or other way!
