I met Tift in Telluride. Told her how I came to know her music. She was very attentive and sweet. I later saw her in the small town park, mesmerized by the music of The Swell Season who were playing on the park's tiny stage...

...I think we were both carried to t I looked through the crowd and saw that Tift was there too, and looking over at me just as I saw her, and I thought, 'There she is in a similar space absorbing the majesty of this moment in time in this amazing place ... I hope that I never forget... It felt like recognition...hat place of beauty that only happens when the soul is free to lift up and go where it may....
