Example would be in episode 6 were the emperor is shocking Luke and Vader's love for his son redeems him and compels him to destroy the emperor. Another would be Revan's love for Bastila freed her from the dark side in KOTOR. Love didn't cause Anakin to turn to the dark side, his fear of losing padme corrupted him, it costed him nearly everything, the jedi, his mentor and friend Obi-Wan, padme, and almost his own kids.

Just because they ban love and marriage doesn't mean Jedi won't love, it's human nature, and if Anakin was allowed to openly love Padme he could have gone to them for help instead of Palpatine, and the Empire would never have come into being.

@@tortlenoises9166 The line you are quoting isn't anything to do with Baras Rather during the Belsavis missions there is a Jedi you've allied yourself with to stop Baras from getting his sister out of Belsavis, and at the end of it you have 3 options, Leave as friends, walk away but be enemies (light side 100 or 50) or the dark side option to kill them the dialogue from Vette you're quoting is from the light side options I just listed. though me personally I always take Jeasa on those missions because the Jedi in question has some fun dialogue that harkens back to chapter 1 as he was a former apprentice of Nomen Karr

It’s not about Love specifically but Attachments are forbidden. The point is to not allow your feelings to cloud your judgement (this can apply to Sith with their passions as well). If someone is in love with somebody else in danger while having the option to save a group, then that person may hesitate or make the wrong move (and there may or may not be one in every situation). For a Jedi, it risks what they try to fight for: Peace and Justice For a Sith, the same applies for their drive for power: passion/attachments can get in the way of a goal instead of helping achieve it. Attachments aren’t wrong, but there’s a reason total dedication to a cause requires the possible sacrifice and the acceptance of abandoning those attachments.

I find it amazing how you can get a completely detailed story through almost every character and every choice you make. It's too bad i haven't come across any "Darth Revan-like" plot twists with the characters, but Bioware truly raised the bar (by about 5 stars worth) in MMOs and video games in general. Truly wish that over time they can branch out the SWTOR game to reach closer to the movies, or even have easter eggs from other comics or games.

They aren't good, so much as they are the more "tactical" sith who realize that you gotta do whats best for the Imperial Empire. Sometimes that means straying from your beliefs as a sith at times. Doesn't make you good, just reasonable.

If you pay close attention the shock collar is on Vette through out all of the class mission cut scenes in this video, but not in the companion cut scenes. Seems like the person that played this did the class storyline before the Vette romance storyline.

If the crew were present while the warrior proposes to Vette; Malavai Quinn, Lt. Pierce, and Broonmark would just at least simply congratulating their marriage while light side Jasea would hug Vette as a new sister. If Jasea was dark, then things would heat up.

I know that's a long time now, but I had dark Jaesa while romancing Vette. Jaesa was so upset, I really expect some drama like her trying (and/or managing) to kill Vette and telling us "Now you're mine". Or getting in some sort of ultimate duel between master and apprentice if we protect Vette. Could have been a good tragedy. Thus, I regret so much having a DS Jaesa, she lacks of deepness; being evil for the sake to be evil is boring and poor.

Strangely romantic in that your character is still loyal to the empire but is willing to take the long excruciating paths to do something rather than going straight for the jugular or forcing her to let you have your way. Quite awesome.
