this is a great video but a bit misleading. the greens are just a color morph of the standard tiger barb (Puntigrus tetrazona) meaning the breeding fish are the same species

Sir Sir Thank you for sharing. How did you build the breeding cage with black mesh & how did you raise the fry? First foods water changes etc
@janjiediscovery61792 жыл бұрын
hi! first month, I feed the fry with BBS, then daphnia for 2-3 mos old after that I introduce to them a commercial food with high protein content little by little. I seldom change the water in may tank, add an enough aquatic plants and to insure a good filtration system.

@@janjiediscovery6179 Thank you Sir So you feed bbs from start to newborn fry?
@kapilag24542 жыл бұрын
@@CrowntailHalfmoon I came from another breeding video and learned that barb fry are big enough to feed on BBS on their first day.

@@CrowntailHalfmoon kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppfLn56doriafNU here it is. Timestamp 9:22 to 10:45 for the info. But feel free to watch the whole video if you want to. I had to rewatch a bunch of times. 😂 If I'm not mistaken there were 2 times where the fries hatched out. The second time, he fed them brine shrimp. I'd advice to just put 2 tiger barbs as they are fast swimmers and very likely will eat the eggs before the eggs sink. Hope it helps.

Dear sir, I would like to include a small fragment from this film in my film about the tiger barbus. I ask your permission to do this. In the movie itself and in the description to it, your channel and other data will be indicated, if you specify what else you need to specify.

@@janjiediscovery6179 Thank you so much! I want to ask about the female that participated in this spawn. Maybe you know if one of her parents was a green sumatra? I used to breed green sumatra myself. Even if both parents were green sumatra, the offspring always had at least one third of the tiger barb.
@janjiediscovery61793 жыл бұрын
@@vladimirkovalev2731 thats true sir, that is also my observation when i breed both green sumatra. later i discovered that green sumatra(man-made fish) is a mutation from a tiger barb(natural fish). on the video, i used female tiger barb and male green sumatra. result was 50-50 based on my experience sir.
