This is a story of the queen of the grasslands that we popularly call Grasslandwali .For the visitors who have been on a safari to Jim Corbett National park - Dhikala zone , this tigress is quite popular. I got to witness her live hunt not once but twice. Unfortunately she was not successful in both the hunts. In the wild its the survival of the fittest . If you don't make a kill you stay hungry and get weak . Our queen is an experienced hunter but a lot of distraction and noise created by the safari visitors creates a distraction and alerts the prey . Its important to educate visitors to keep a respectable distance during such action and be considerate and reasonable in getting too close . Please carry good telephoto lenses to watch and record or take photographs from a reasonable distance without disturbing the animals . Needless to say when you have guests in your house you wouldn't want them to take a camera and stick it right in your face . Similarly when we travel to the forest we are in somebody else's home. So please respect the place you are in and carry your trash back with you to dispose it appropriately.
