Lily Martin A couple of things. 1) While I'm sure it's nice to transfer human characteristics onto animals, it's almost invariably better not to. The more we engage in anthropomorphism, the less likely we are to learn. And 2) there's more chance than not that the shot of the mother was not in reaction to the cub's noise, but chosen to fit the narrative.
