Tigers don't care if humans are in a group or alone. They aren't scared of us after they turn maneaters. They know we are food and really helpless in front of their prowess. I'm an Indian and my home state has the powerful Royal Bengal Tigers in Sundarban region. The really poor village folk go into those forests either to fish or to collect honey, as a big group. Nothing stops those tigers from killing humans if they decide to eat.

actually, the masks on the back of villagers heads did work for a substantial amount of time, but tigers are extremely intelligent animals. They began to work out that these masks were a ruse and continued attacking villagers after a few years to the point where the difference between wearing a mask or not wearing one is now negligible.

Had a HUGE cat sneak up on me and one of my workers. I pulled out my 9mm in a second, because it was going towards my worker who was occupied on measuring out some lumber. I kept telling him to look, and when he finally did the cat was already 50 yards away. It knew I had seen it. If he was by himself I KNOW he would've been dragged into the woods never to be heard from again. He brought his rifle every day after that. The house we were working on had over 50 cats living their, right on a forest line. The owner said she's been missing a few cats lately... This thing was BIG too, Arthur still tells the story to this day. Nobody would believe how BIG or long the yellowish, tan cat we saw was, but nevertheless, this is North America. Big Mammals will honestly go wherever the F they want...
