The pure ballstriking, the creativity to move it left or right whenever he needs to, the sheer power to create backspin from some nasty thick rough and hit it high so it stops on a dime...Tiger has it all. But the most overlooked part might be the putting. Definitely one of the best putters of the golf ball in all of the history of the game. Especially in clutch situations. When Tiger needed to make it, he very rarely missed. Can't wait until you are back, Tiger. I miss seeing you out there. I think we all do.

@researcher3981 Жыл бұрын
Your taking some bad medication, if you think he was a great putter. "Especially in the clutch"...not even close to Nicklaus. Tiger Woods was a great FRONT RUNNER, nothing more. On Sunday, if he was 2-3 shots behind there was concern, but no fear, by those in front. If Nicklaus was within 3 shots, all eyes was on him, not on the leaders. He made more 15-18 ft putts on sunday for the money, than Woods even dreamed of. If Woods putted as well as Nicklaus, and could have played from behind, he might have won 100 tournaments. He's in the top 5-6 of all time, but if there is really a GOAT, it's probably Ben Hogan...After the age of 35 Snead won 40 tournaments, Woods 11. If not for the car accident, Hogan would have won more than 82, and if wasn't such a late commer, before winning his first, and time off for WW2, he would have won a 100. By the time Hogan won his first, Woods had won over 25...Bottom line Woods is the GOAT of players under 30, with the possible execption of Bobby Jones. Check Hogan's record, what he did after the Bus ran into him is unbelievable. In four years after the crash, he only could play 17 tournaments, because his lower body had to be wrapped tight, so as to be able to walk. He won 10 of the 17, including 5 Majors! in 1953 the 4th year, he won the Masters, US Open, British Open then retired. He didn't play in the PGA which was match play back then, because it was more stress on this body. For my money, taking in the total careear, Hogan is the GOAT, most of my life i thought it was Nicklaus, until i started researching the history.
@A1Adaydreaming Жыл бұрын
@@researcher3981 LoL. I'm on some "bad medication" if I contend that Tiger Woods was a great putter in clutch situations? I'd say that, literally, when it was a "must have" situation, Tiger Woods made that putt over 90% of the time. Go back and watch his highlights. In a big tournament when h had to have it, most times he came through. Not denying that Nicklaus was great. Not denying that Hogan was an incredible player. I never said anything like that. But even you, yourself, say Tiger is in the top 5-6 golfers of all time. Well, do you think he got there by being a shitty putter? Your comment makes no sense. I'm on drugs for saying Tiger was/is a great putter of the golf ball, yet you place him in the top 5 of all golfers of all time. Which is it?

Once he got hot everybody took a backseat man it was birdies and bunches Eagles not to sure if he's had a whole bunch of albatrosses or double eagles but I'm sure he's got those in his belt too. I thank you for all your golfing expertise and I think Mr Woods the father for teaching his son the game Earl would be missed and I really hope that tiger is not done but it's going to be hard for him to manufacture golf swing with metal rods we have technology we can rebuild him he'll be the 6 trillion dollar man by then if that happens.

I wish they had his chip in on 16 at the masters. That’s the greatest chip in to have ever been made.

:27 the guy yelling "One time!" is just as important to that shot as Tiger himself. What a legend.

You know what's great? We got to watch Tiger Woods dominate the sport of golf for 15-20 years...and we are going to get to watch his son Charlie Woods pick up right where Tiger left off. Charlie will probably dominate golf for another 20 years after Tiger retires. What a great time to live in if you are Woods fan!

Charlie Woods' swing is scary good. I can't wait to see what kind of player he becomes. He had already learned to release his left foot so at least he won't have the same knee problems as his dad.
@arrowheadftball3 жыл бұрын
...well let's just wait and see. Charlie doesn't need or deserve that kind of arrogant childish comparison to be like his father. If he has a successful career..so be it. Winning and dominating the game like his father. I doubt that he would be able to try. Genetics are there but Tiger is a 1 off.

I'll say amen to that! there are lots of new young golfers but they don't have the charisma and personality like tiger he just was so beautiful with a golf club in hand its like watching your best music artist putting on his best performance.

Miss those days. Love to see Tiger break Jack's record, long shot, yes, but it's Tiger Woods. I've never counted him out unlike the "experts".

The most exciting and best golfer to ever play the game IDC, he is so godamn entertaining and good. Easily above Phil Mckileson, I'm sorry argue to a wall.

I'm 58. I have not played golf in a very long time unfortunately. However from a very very young age, My father and I would sit and watch golf regularly. And while I cannot say I watched every single tournament he played in. I watched as many as I could and I have never seen anyone in their prime. Do what he did. Especially under pressure. The greatest golfer of all time. And even if you do not agree he was definitely the very best of turning a bad situation into a miracle

Lovin' watching * TIGER WOODS * play & WIN his game! * p.s. Tiger maybe you could wear a portable leg cast to aid your walking and stop leg fatigue? I so hope your leg is doing better, we love you no matter what! The fans!

Tiger in his prime was borderline unbeatable. Just made it look easy so often, and it’s just not. And even badly injured he still flushed it and made putts. It’s been a privilege to watch him play these years.

Watched it all!!!! Tiger changed it all. Jack, remains #1. I love Tiger to death! The absolute GOAT! Right behind and 2nd to Jack. Winning doesn't make you the goat. Tigers sportsmanship is equal to no one. Jacks indisputably the greatest ever. But technically speaking? Tiger was better just golf talking. By far and without argument. In my 56 year old opinion, Jack is the greatest golfer of all time. watching golf, is my life's greatest pastime. I love it!! Go TEAM AMERICA IN THE 2023 Ryder Cup!! Go USA!!! 💯💯💯💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

So like, this is gonna sound like a dumb question... but how do golf tournaments work with the crowds? Do you just like... stay on one hole for the whole thing? Or do they move from hole to hole with the golfers? Just curious.
