We all make mistakes. Some are greater than others. He made several mistakes like any of us could or have been tempted to and now he has a chance to teach how children of those mistakes, so that they aren't as likely to make them. Seeing his son have the same mannerisms in terms of golf (fist pump, walking a putt in, etc.) is not something that is taught but something that is learned from watching his father. When he hit that really nice 5 Wood hook to 4 feet from 175 yards and strated walking to the right to see the shot, it's the same thing we've seen Tiger do several times when he is hit some very good, creative shots. I'm glad see Tiger has impacted his soon in a positive way in golf and I'm 100% sure the same is being done as a father explaining life lessons.

I'm enjoying the relationship between Tiger and Charlie vicariously ,I didn't have that with mine TOTALLY opposite. I finally after years of hatred for him. I forgave him for the pain he caused my brothers mother and myself. I wish he was alive, so I could say " I forgive you Dad, because, I believe if you could have done better you would have, you just couldn't. So, I love you and they're is not a thing you can do about it." I see him in a new light since I forgave him. Every blue moon, I remember something good he did, and that's okay today and I smile a genuine one. Let go of that hate, forgive that person for yourself, I know it's hard I'm 66 years old I didn't stop hating him until 9 years ago. What a waste of time! ( and energy). Remember, it's for you!

So unless you think Tiger conspired to marry a beautiful young lady knowing that he was one day going to cheat on her, then yes, it is a misfortune. We are human, we are fallible, we make mistakes and it is unfortunate. You seem to understand and hit the nail on the head when you said that it should never have been reported on at all considering so many other previous golfers and even presidents have had multiple affairs (and multiple presidents have done this while in office) but that is their personal life and really should not be anyone else's business. Nobody is perfect and we all grow up lacking something things or knowledge of how to handle certain situations and circumstances. 9 out of 10 men in Tiger's place would have done the same thing if they had the same up bringing so I wish people would stop judging and just judge him on his golf.

A small rant, if I may: Hands in pockets while walking is inefficient and doesn’t take advantage of momentum, inertia or the pendulum effect. Hands out of pockets is efficient and makes it easier to walk. Easier to walk means you get to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells. In our ancient ancestors we called this hunting. Today, once your legs and hips become accustomed to being used again it’s just plain old fun and mixes up those chemicals that don’t get mixed anywhere else except moving at a brisk pace. All of this newfound walking isn’t without a ton of benefits to include, weight loss, cardio and muscle tone. Trust me there is no better more sustainable way to maintain your weight, fitness and mental health than through doing what we’re evolutionarily designed to do than walking.
