@@CFBOutlaw He won six majors. 3 Masters, and 3 British Opens. So major totals for both are Woods 15, and Faldo 6. Faldo's last major win, came one year before Tigers first, the Master's in 97. As Sir Nick, placed the green jacket on Tiger, the winner by 13 shots, I wonder if he said, "Kid, you should really consider, putting a 7 wood, in your bag." Helluva career for Faldo however, along with Tom Watson, the most major wins, in the generation immediately preceding Tiger's. As Nicklaus, won the most in the generation before Watson's. All-time majors (professional) 18 for Nicklaus, or 20 for Nicklaus, and 18 for Wood's, if the Amateurs are counted. However, the statistical dominance, categorically exhibited by Woods, such as strokes under par, and many, many, other factors. In short, he's the greatest ever. Jones was good, Jack was better, but Tiger is the best of all-time.

None of the current players would have had a hope against prime Tiger or even prime Phil Mickelson - who won a major in his 50's just last year! And on the longest course! When you see 50 year olds winning majors against 20 and 30 year olds then clearly this era of golfers isn't as strong as many think it is. Players had great technique in the 90's and 2000's as well, but no one had Tiger's mental game back then and they definitely don't have it right now either. Tiger's had many different swings as well over the years so it's not just about technique - it's all about the mental game.
