Tigerbark Ficus Bonsai - "Benny"

Here is an update and trim on my tigerbark ficus bonsai that I refer to as "Benny". The update on Benny's partner "June" will be coming soon!

She gave you a few scares this year, but lookin vibrant now! I like your idea off that “right” branch. But I recommend a hail-Mary cut back to about where the 🐞 was perched at the very end. If you get some horizontal shoots to back bud, it could give Benny some balance. Just a thought. By the way, where is June? You typically show them as a pair.

Yeah she did! I think she was being a bit dramatic and wanted to know I still care 🤣 It worked! And yeah I might do a hail Mary. I've been eye ball'n it ever since this trying to decide. And June! There is a ln update on June coming in the next week or so.

Looks like you are using hard water ( the white stains on the leaves ). I use some water conditioner ( what you also use for aquariums) if you don't have access to rain water

Hey there! Fellow Idahoan here, with a question. Where can I learn how to do Bonsai properly? I don't know of any bonsai shops in my area. The next option is driving down to Provo for a class. Any ideas?

Hi! So there is a group in town called Boise Bonsai Society. I've not gone to any of their meetings so I don't know much about them. Always meant to, just never did. I just learned from watching a lot of KZbin, and trial and error. (Emphasis on the "error" part).
