Just beautiful camera work. The production team for this video earned their money.

my dad has all tigercat, and has owned tigercat for twenty years .better to have a smooth operators of machines working every day,with little trouble. than a cowboy ripping trees of that are not fully cut,forcing them to the pile. making extra trips to the landing ,with broken trees. THEN, a machine with payments down ,a thousand meters from the road soaked in oil,or needed to be welded.Think about the owner of the machines,people. that machine is their living,and yours

To defend the operator. It is a demo machine with most of the controls in a different spot that he was used to. He had only been in the machine for a few minutes when the video was taken. There is always somebody faster and someone who THINKS he is faster.

slower operator but quality... the company this guy work for must love him... i was a contractor couple years ago and i would hire a slower operator with quality before quantity and a mess , previous comments on how bad and slow he is.... at the end of the year this machine probably still looks great...
@onrr17264 жыл бұрын
I agree sometimes speed is not of essence on every job sight when it comes to safety and maintaining a high level of quality and production control. My cousin is pretty much the same way with his business the job gets done his way and with high quality products. If the customer insists or demands crap products be used my cousin revokes his bid and walks away. He rather go hungry before haveing a customer tarnish his name because they were cheap.

Does tigercat have the option to switch from iso to sae?..cause the normal controls seem backwards as heck
@oneandatwo4 жыл бұрын
Seems like not letting go before it hits the ground could be hard on the equipment.

Dear tigercat I love your video I think think the operator is very good on that machine but I wish you would make more videos of the 830 rolling coal like the operators that have been running them for a while and good wood to see what they actually do and perform thank tdk logging is one hell of a preference from KZbin thanks

How often do the blades need to be replaced on these? Absolutely wonderful engineering!

Once every 2 days or so the teeth are changed or replaced.

Operator should be letting go of trees at least when they get to a 45°angle. And turning faster and accumulating more trees.

He is a new or new on this machine or both. Nice Buncher though.

He's falling big, tall timber, you can't be swinging them around fast, looks like he's is setting up some nice bundles and not blowing the tops off the trees. Being fast doesn't mean shit if your just making a big mess

What trees are?
@groovy_bear8 жыл бұрын
Some of them are red cedar (thuja plicata) I think, the others some kind of firs... perhaps pacific silver fir (abies amabilis). This is what I would say judging by the video but I do not know for a fact !

Sure it's a demo, can watch and tell by how he works he knows how to cut prolly just different button pattern and fills different then the one he's used too, just my opinion. Opinions are like assholes_ everybody has one!

This machine (which is an environmental and national security obscenity) is a stupid person's idea of what a smart person would do to increase their income and improve a nation's economy. The people who like this sort of thing are going to wake up in about 25 years when the temperature is 100 degrees Fahrenheit on January 1st at the South Pole and ask : "wha' happun ?"

not sure why he feels like he needs to hold onto the tree till the last second. hard on tool cylinder.. he's pretty slow to.. not your best demo video.. get a better operator next time.. call me
