I was riding Yamaha R3 wearing a proper riding pants with level 2 protectors total cost around 16k also with proper helmet everything. I made an accident with Royal Enfield 650 front to front. I was at at speed of max 50 (third gear) and the other bike was at 70. My Tibia broke of right leg and I am at hospital now. Where as the other bike wearing only knee guard did not have any major injury having only some minor scratch near area the hip area. Later I ask the price, he told he bought the knee guard from flpikart at Rs 1200 only. So I finally concluded that if get hit from with proper steel rod with a 200kg heavy bike fall on ur leg then nothing can save ur leg.

Most gear is tested on a stationary object , moving at speeds within the speed limits , so say the stationary object is moving velocity 0 and the object that collides is moving at 80 . Therefore for the object to come to a stand still , taking into consideration the weight of the vehicle and the rider and speed it's travelling at for it to come to a stand still . Head on collisions were not taken into account. So in your mind I was travelling at 50 this should of not happened , but take your speed and the opposite rides speed , 50+ 70 , higher than what the product was tested for . Now this applies for impact and shock absorption not for abrasion rating . From the research I've done , most accidents affect extremities , head , feet ,shin , hands and shoulders . We need to take this into consideration while making our purchases. It also explains why his Armor worked better .

Spend Rs 500 to 1000 on jeans , those plastic gaurds can be wore under jeans pants and that's it if a motorcycle rider not traveling long tours on motorcycles. For long tours in warm please cargo pants are good, With those cheap and effective knee gurads. But most people drives motorcycle without any gear. People even drives motorcycle with shorts 🙃

Hi thank you soo much supporting and loving my content Yes you heard it right actually sometimes I also do fastening during ramzan due to its detoxing properties and during this video shoot the guy behind camera is muslim and his name is Zeeshan who was keeping Ramzan at that time and to make him more comfortable I also avoid eating and drinking Please keep supporting ♥️

Nice and much needed video. A question - how do crash guards like the ones that come standard with RE bikes fare here? I think they can be really effective in protection of both the rider AND the bike!

@@TigerKoul I am getting a Duke 250 and heard that KTM guards are very weak and break off easily. Is it advisable to spend on good crash guards for safety, just like we do on gear?
