The Amur tiger is one of the rarest tigers in the world, the pride and wealth of our country, and at the same time - a huge responsibility. Despite many years of efforts of Russian and Chinese state and public organizations, up to 20 tigers are annually killed by poachers.
In 2017, with the support of the Amur Tiger Center, director Sergei Yastrzhembsky produced a documentary called “Tigers and Humans", which focuses on the issues of poaching in the Russian Far East and the fight against it. It also tells about the role of Asian countries in shaping the demand on tiger body parts.
"Tigers and Humans" received an award as the best Russian documentary film at the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival.
