Vivekji, you have a very valid point. It is quite possible, with the shrinking habitat, shared by both tigers and elephants, that the tigers are seeking refuge in buffer areas. It could be more true for Bandhavgarh, where elephants are very recent newcomers and therefore tigers being unaccostomed are giving them a wide berth.
