Wow I'm in awe that some of these are 3700 years old, such complexity and awkward beauty in these pieces I love it! And the fact the artisans might have come to this bronze technology indepently is incredible !

This is such a large contrast to the more realistic sculptures and paintings that came before it on the new channel list and that kept things interesting! I also wonder what the various figures represented and what that would mean to someone of that time / culture.

pretty interesting that some of the iconography are shared by Hmong in Southeast Guizhou clothing iconography - fish, dragon, and buffalo

Excellent video. Those animals could be the symbol of different tribes which merged together.

Claiming that it was probably made by “The Kings” orders is pushing it. Even using a term like “The King” is very misleading. Great art though. I would do anything to be able to sit in the workspace while these were being made.
