Tight turns and smooth throttle control mate! Bike looks awesome too!

Thanks mate, one of my subscribers wanted to get an idea on how to turn them tightly so I figured I'd show how to finesse these things into tight turns 👍

Thanks for this Chris. I get it now. So you are barely using the steering you are working the brake and throttle to keep the bike from resting on the scratch bars. When you say lock you mean the forks turned over to one side? You give the opposite to keep the bike upright. Kinda like drifting a car in real life. You give opposite steering input to keep from spinning out. In this case, opposite steering to keep the bike from falling all the way over. I see you are barely moving the controls. It just takes lots of practice to keep constant figure 8s like that. Man, you are so good at this RC bike driving. It's more technical than RC cars which is why I enjoy it. Gives me a challenge. I really appreciate all the help. You have made me a much better RC biker. I can't wait to get my RC biker leather Jacket. Are you part of the Rebels or the Finks? I was watching a Documentary on Assie bike gangs. They are crazier than the Hells Angels in the USA. lol. It's 11 pm at night and I want to go practice more right now. I'm just not in the mood to get eaten by a Grizzly Bear or a Mountain lion tonight, lol.

Lol, can't say I'd be keen to be eaten by a mountain lion either. I raced motocross up till this year so that's the sort of bike club I was involved in, definitely not the leather jacket type for me thanks haha. By lock I mean steering application and opposite lock is exactly what you are getting at with the drift cars. Essentially the wheel is a balance mechanism vs a steering wheel so sometimes opposite lock is needed to pull the bike back up combined with gently applied throttle. The harder you get on the throttle the more it wants to lift the front also and it can cause the bike to wobble so smooth inputs are key and it's all a lot of finesse on the controls and barely using much steering unless it's needed. Have fun practicing and let me know if there's anything else I can help with and let me know how you go 👍😎

@@chrishaertel820 Thanks for clearing that up, bro. I would rather get eaten by a mountain lion than a Grizzly Bear. The Mountian lion will kill you quick. The Grizzly bear will bite off your testicles first and then eat your stomach intestines while you are still alive. They are savages. lol. I'm going to go to practice in the morning in a big parking lot. I think it's because I'm trying on a narrow street and it's not giving me time to get the feel for it. With more room, I can just focus on the turning rather than hitting a curb. I really appreciate everything. I'll let you know how it goes. I might start posting videos on my Channel again. It's been years. Just videos of my progress and trying to race the Promoto. Cheers, Mate!

@@chrishaertel820I'd rather be eaten by a mountain lion than a Grizzly Bear. Grizzly bears eat you while you are still alive. The mountain lion kills you first. lol. I'm starting to get it down. It's a lot of practice. You must have been playing with these RC motorcycles for a long time or you're just a natural. I can get it to the left turns really good but my right turn needs lots of work. I took off the scratch bars and put the lean bar wheels back on to practice on the street. I didn't want to wear down my scratch bars even though I have a bunch of them. Have you changed your steering servo and your brake servo? Also, the front of the bike seems really tall. Is there a way to lower it? Did you change the springs or do anything to your suspension. the front keeps getting stuck in the upper stroke because it's sitting so high with no up travel. On my real Yamaha 450F, the front has some uptravel. The rear has lots of bounce. When I see yours on the track it's very fluid not much bouncing and your front looks really planted with the dirt. Hopefully, It gets more popular and you get some sponsors and they fly you to the United States and teach me in person. 😂 From the looks of it, they are starting to take over. Every 1/8 scale race has a promoto mx heat race scheduled in between the buggy and Truggy class at all my local tracks club races. Hopefully, they will start doing worldwide and in the finals soon. That would be very rad! Thanks again, Chris. Hope you're having a great week!
