Top man and crew. Excellent manoeuvring. About 25 years since I moored here. No thrusters on my boats in those days. I got lucky the mooring was almost empty when I departed lol.

Must have side thrusters, good job mate. We are nearly killing each other after we’ve finished mooring. Mad how something so relaxing like going down the river at 5mph can turn into absolute carnage when you come to park! Not for you though, good job

We boat owners like a drink it doesn’t affect how we handle our boats and we don’t need bow thrusters to moor up .

what a mooring, sure you not been in the navy ( Royal or merchant ) because thats what you call precision manoeuvring , I wouldn't attempt that last year when a boat owner noticed us coming in and deliberately moved their boat forward so that I couldn't get in, and although all the other boaters had a go at him and told him to move his boat back he refused and just laughed in my face, he laughed at us that much and started to take the piss about boat hirers and first timers at that I lost it and pulled my boat up along side his boarded his boat and put him on his arse and everyone cheered as one bloke was already on his way round from the other side to do what I had just done, and that was another private boat owner that was against him, After that he offered to move the boat to let me in and I told him to stuff it as he should have done it in the first place and nothing would have happened, found out later he did it to every hire boat that went in there, and he reported me to the authority who went to him to get info ad the name of the boat I was on and all the other boaters told them what he did and he got into trouble himself where as I just got told off, and given advice on what to do if it happened again, anyway your mooring is fantastic great job, I came across this vlog by accident, great video as well

@Norfolk-Broads-with-Dave5 жыл бұрын
@@shanehumberstone5262 it can be a bit daunting for newbies. Even experienced skippers can get caught out by the tide and wind. I was blown into a sailing boat at Berney Arms once. The girlie buttons were switched on but I didn't get a chance to use them. That said, we were moored at Acle with one other boat. They set off with the tide and clattered into our bow. I had my camera running and heard a young lad tell his dad they were being recorded. 5 minutes later they returned to check our damage only to promptly clatter into us again on the way back in. That's what the insurance is for the guy said.
