Thanks you for preparing a thorough and easy to understand video in English and Tigrinya appropriate for all learning levels. As a language school teacher I find your material very helpful in teaching beginners to intermediate level to expand their vocabulary and understanding of the Tigrinya language.

I'm just subscriber now teacher. All videos are all interesting. I know that i'm off-topic, i'm sorry. Since I am due to move to Eritrea by the end of the year for work reasons. I am learning the basics of Tigrinya language. If you could do me a great favor to satisfy my curiosity because it is not written very clearly on the internet, I would be very grateful. My question is, how I did it last time on another video, How do you say No in tigrinya? Yes, I know it is said only in one way and it is እወ ewe but my doubt is no. I have documented myself and it can be said in many ways, but which is the most used and common one to say no? Do you say No as in Italian because of the past Italian colonialism? You say no like ነኖእ Nenó ?. You say no like ኣይፋል Ayfal ?. You say no like ዋላ ሓደ wala hade ?. You say no like ሓንቲ'ኳ hantukwa ?. You say no like ኣይኮንኩን aykonkun ? You say no like aykonen ?. You say no like aykoneten ?. Please teacher answer me, it is very important for me to know how to say NO in tigrinya language correctly. Please help me to understand how to say it correctly the word NO in tigrinya language.

Do you have any tips to learn how to read and write in Tigrinya? Since my family is from there, I can understand people speaking it pretty well but I never learned how to speak it myself or read and write in the language

Hi can I ask a question, do you know if Africa kept their histories and languages written down on manuscripts or did they just keep it by word of mouth?

Can you do one with 10 to 20 common words that can mean different things in certain contexts? Does "Adey" have different meanings? I hear that word a lot in some of the tigrinya music i listen to

Adey means pretty/light in Somali. In Tigrinya I heard similar words but total opposite meanings 😅

We use ዓባይ.
@pietrosgmwerasi6056
@pietrosgmwerasi6056 3 жыл бұрын
The correct one is ዓባይ (grand) + äy (-my) = ዓባየይ (grandma), which is mostly used by many Tigrinya speakers (-> colloquial language). The proper one is as The Habby in her lesson correctly stated እኖሓጎ (ənno Haggo, grandmother).

I never understand your goal in this channel. People are dying in your country and your people and I never heard you mention anything about that. It looks like all you are doing is seeking attention. You don't understand but if you have talked a little about that you would have a lot of subscribers.
